This cleanser is relatively gentle and is good for those who struggle with oily skin or combo skin. I have combo skin and this seemed to work well for my skin without over-drying it. I'd be inclined to give it 5 stars, but I am a bit offended by the ad copy for this. The product info claims "Dermatologically tested. Free from: parabens, fragrance, preservatives and colorants." First, of course it has a preservative; most products should have some type of preservative unless it can be used up quickly. It has a very gentle preservative, ethylhexylglycerin, but that's still a preservative. It also has a small amount of alcohol, which I suspect is used for it's preservative abilities more than as a solvent. This is also not what I would classify as fragrance free. According to a leading chemical manufacturer that labs order from, Pentadecalactone "can be used as a flavoring agent and fragrance ingredient due to its musk flavor/odor." It's also listed as a perfuming agent in two reputable cosmetic ingredient sources I use regularly. Indeed, this product has a scent, albeit mild and not lingering, that others remark on as well.

Gentle, daily exfoliation that makes a difference you can feel in your skin's texture, without leaving it red or dry. Have somewhat sensitive skin and can normally only use AHA products more sparingly, even those that generally advocate daily use are a 1-2 times per week tops for me, or I start to get flaky. But this never bothered me and left my skin visibly smoother and softer after every wash, while still feeling hydrated.

I received this item for free from Vine. This face cleanser is for people whose skin is slightly oily and regular cleanser isn’t strong enough but stuff for oily skin is too strong and dries you out. This is a little tok strong for me personally and I will only be using this when my skin is grimy after a long day of working outdoors. I can’t say that it minimizes pores like it claims but it does a good job cleansing. I just can’t stand the scent - it smells like grandma/old lady and it lingers.
