LL TRADER for LG Optimus E960 Google Nexus 4 LCD Display Touch Screen Glass Digitizer Assembly Repair Replacement

Although not an original replacement part, the product is good value for money, it comes with all the necessary tools (and a few extra) and is reasonably easy to install. There are several video tutorials on YouTube, but most of them, including the one embedded on the vendor's own webpage, refer to the a new LCD and touch screen without a frame. This specific replacement part come already glued to a new frame, so you'll have to remove all the component from the old frame and put them on the new one. Some adhesive might be useful or even needed, but it is not provided.The only issue I had when reassembling my phone is that two of the 9 screws that hold the cover of motherboard (and the motherboard itself) in place wouldn't fit in the holes of the new frame: one would only go in halfway and the other wouldn't go in at all, presumably because of less-than-perfect threadings in the frame. The screws were the original ones, since they are not provided, so the problem cannot be with them.Now, after about a week of using the new screen, I can say that its touch sensitivity is far from perfect and can definitely be improved. This is especially clear when swiping to type: the signal is often lost and the resulting text is rubbish. I find that the situation is slightly better if I apply a little more pressure than usual and I don't use the very tip of my finger but the softer padded area of the finger (which is not a natural way of tapping and swiping on a touch screen).

After a fast delivery to Belgium the package arrived.This is an exact copy from the old screen. Everythimg fits nice and clean. There is dubbelside tape for the battery supplied. After the replacement the phone didnt boot. The led gave a red sign. All i had to do was boot into the bootloader using the volume down and the power button. The phone was back allive.Issues:The blue clip that comes with the tools is not refined. Its crappie but it works.The glass from the screen is not hard. When you touch hard its a bit bending.After all its an exact copy that fits my expectations

It was easy to use the repair kit bought from LL trader, took about 12 min, (also had experience with it before). It arrived very shortly after I ordered it, and it was even Christmass. I had a problem not with the product itself but how amazone is handling the procedures, they saw that i had lost my visa card therefore they wrote to me that I should reorder the screen repair kit. I did that.Unfortunatly I got two kits, so I sent it back, as amazone said i should. I then realised after i sent the package, and making some correspondance with LL trader, that I should had asked them for the address and what to do with the package. This would had solved so much trouble for both of us. A story short, they refunded my money, even as they havnt recived the package yet. LL trader is just great, I love them. They really care for their customers, I would always recomend their products.

Well packaged and arrived promptly from a UK sender (as advertised). I haven't noticed any issues with quality at all - the screen is crisp and touch pick-up seems to be fine. Colour/brightness might not be the same as the original, but certainly seem good enough. Given the price LG want for the OEM part, I'm certainly satisfied!Fitting it to the old phone was fairly straightforward with the included tools, the only tricky part was removing the battery which goes more smoothly if you heat it (gently!) with a hairdryer. I'd recommend[...] as a good video explaining how to remove everything from your old phone and put it in the new frame.

Exactly what I needed to replace the smashed screen on my Nexus 4. Be aware, this assembly is JUST the LCD screen, front digitizer and the frame. It doesn't include the other components in the front frame, like the headphone jack, charging port etc. Nevertheless, I was still able to remove the LCD/digitizer from the assembly with the help of some hot air and stick it in my old frame. Works flawlessly now.

Exactly what I needed. I had a visibly perfect but faulty digitizer on my nexus 4 after one too many drops, and this replacement had it back to perfect condition again. Make sure you watch the nexus tear down on youtube so you put everything back together the right way. Also, tempting as it is to buy just a replacement digitizer instead of a LCD/frame/digitizer assembly like this, replacing the digitizer is much more of a headache on the nexus 4 as it's glued in quite firmly.

All tools provided. This purchase came with the display assembly attached to the central frame. Therefore no extra adhesive was needed and the job was not messy as I did not have to detach the old display. However you have to remove our old battery from the old frame.
