Great addition to my EDC.
Now I have a full size ratcheting quick disconnect driver with a magnetic tip. Wera engineering makes this a forever tool.

Best screwdriver I ever used.
I needed a screwdriver, I had just received some 1/4" screwdriver bits for a powertool and saw this one mentioned in a youtube on how to make a compact portable toolkit with no compromises where this was mentioned. So I figured why not... and it is the best screwdriver I ever used. I wasn't quite expecting the ratchet function nor the feature that locks the bits in place. The magnet I knew about and is very handy to keep screws on its tip as I aim at the place to screw. After only one day of use I can't imagine ever using anything else as a manual screwdriver. I strongly recommend it.

Amazingly efficient
As it's highly important and functional on my job, best investment i made in a single piece tooling

Great tool
This is a nice tool. It feels comfortable in the hand and it has the quick release top, for the bits. I would definitely recommend this tool. G

A decent, quality driver.
I have bigger hands than the guy who squeezed the Playdoh to invent these handles. That's the tricky thing about finger grooves. They only fit perfectly in specific hands of a specific size. I'm 6 feet tall with average hands, and this handle is decent, but a bit too small. Still the shape and colors is a great marketing tool. This Wera 816RA ratcheting driver is still very nice. The handle is on the small side for its shape. But it still works. It is made of a hard black plastic and rubberized green areas. It's not magical though. Other basic handles fit and feel better. Wiha and PB Swiss have better hand fitting handles. The ratcheting is a subdued clicking. Not too loud, and not too quiet. The back reset is stiffer than some and lighter than others, so perhaps "average" for a quality driver is the best way to describe it. It's controlled by the silver collar, with opposite twist controls to change direction. You wouldn't hit it by accident easily due to the handle shape. It accepts 1/4th inch standard bits. A weak magnet captures them, then you push and they lock into the collar. To unlock you push the collar forward and they stay in, but pluck out from the weak magnetic connection easily. This is the best part of the driver. Solid locking with easy removal when you want. There is an average amount of lateral and rotational shaft play/slop for a good ratcheting driver, but it's not bothersome.Overall it feels solid and well made. It functions well. It think their handles are an excellent marketing and brand recognition tool and not much more. if they were a full inch longer or much fatter on every model, or if I had tiny hands, perhaps I'd feel differently. It's a weird 3 finger hold for me with the pink over the butt end.Above are some picks for comparisons.

Perfect on paper
I been searching for a replacement for my beloved but overpriced single purpose Snap-On. It's a fantastic ratcheting screwdriver but I wanted something that was more flexible. Be shorter or longer in those difficult to access places, drive sockets as adeptly as the single size nut driver I've so far avoided owning, and do so using generic 1/4" impact adapters I already have instead of overpriced proprietary shit like the Snap-On Soft Grip with interchangeable shafts. Enter the Wera.A ratcheting screwdriver with a locking bit holder on a short shaft seemed to be exactly what I was looking for as theoretically it could be adapted into anything I wanted. At this, for the most part it excels. It is in some ways the generic ratcheting socket driver I've always wanted. Unfortunately the front half of handle is so small and round I found it difficult and somewhat uncomfortable to use. The larger diameter and flat sides of the Snap-On provide much better leverage and seem to fit my admittedly large hands much better. Wera doesn't provide much helpful information on their website. Tool length only tells half of the story and that's all they give you unlike some of their other products which separate handle length from the rest of the tool.In addition the rapidator locking bit holder is unfortunately overly large and cumbersome. It fits all the socket extensions and bit holders just fine but if you try to put a standard bit into it directly it's so large they become difficult to remove.I'm still trying to decide if I want to keep it for the things it does do well but it isn't what I was hoping for. I'm considering returning it and trying the Milwaukee I can get locally as it seems to be similar minus the locking bit holder and a larger handle.
