Works well for fussy dog
Doesn’t cover strong smelling medication like Gabapentin but works well for meds made especially for dogs. This is the only way my dog will take reconcile (with additional encouragement and rewards for after) and I’ve managed to get him to take droncit and the occasional Gabapentin with it, too. He’s a nightmare for meds and I only need a small layer of this to cover his daily ones, so it lasts a long time. Been a life saver, definitely recommend.

Brilliant
This is the most brilliant stuff I have come across. My dogs love it and medication goes down without a fight. Will most definitely get more. So worth every penny.

Made my dog wretch
my boy hates taking tablets and spits them out. I could have them in anything and he would spit them out. However, when he went to the Vets they used a little pill treat similar to this which he wolf down. I believe it was supposed to be a cat, but he absolutely loved it and would happily then take his tablets. Unfortunately, these contain too much fat for his diet so I was on the lookout for low fat Pill hiding treats. I would say these are very expensive. But it did seem to cover the tablet. However, my boy tasted this and was making retching noises before I even put a tablet in it. Every time I would get it out of the cupboard, he would run away and hide his head. There is no way that he would eat this treat to be honest it did smell very chemically like synthetic bacon.I don’t know how others have got on with this, but my dog really really did not like it and he’s not that fussy with food, especially bacon.

cheaper than pill pockets
Our greyhound is on long term medication of 3 capsules a day. She can be quite "sniffy" about her food. Using a small amount of paste and rolling the pill / capsule in the paste in the palm of the hand to form a coating that then looks like a small olive - works a treat, just put the "olive" in with the main food in a bowl, not fired down the throat. Let the dog scoop it up, but don't let it get too wet otherwise it just rolls around in the mouth. At the end of last year is was not available on Amazon or anywhere. I even wrote to the company and the manufacturer in USA in despair. The alternative would be a D.I.Y. paste with peanut paste - very messy and hard to store, or, use commercial pill pockets - they are very expensive for long term with more multiple medications. To get the best scoop amount I searched the internet and the best metal scoop was a Danish salt spoon (Ib Laursen Metal Salt Spoon ) as being only 5.5cm long it fits snugly into the lid of the container - so easy to use and store. Other means of delivering medications are available but for me, the wrap a pill is essential, as the "olives" as above are easily added to her food at a meal time, not separate. I am so glad that wrap a pill exists and is once more back on Amazon.

only 1 negative
Great stuff but really unreliable because it's always going out of stock for what seems like a really long time which is no good if you have a tricky or fussy pet also price keeps shooting up to ridiculous amounts it's just a paste after all.

Works well but not if they assume anything may contain a pill
He liked the taste, but was going through a suspicious phase and refused to eat before checking. Think theyd be ok for dogs who dont have to take multiple pills twice a day and have gotten wise to the crafty human tricks!

Works
Our dog loves this and we do too! She’s little so most items of this type are too big. With this you only use what is needed. The tablets disappear without fuss. She’s been much happier since using, previously wrapped tablets in chicken which couldn’t have hidden the smell enough.

My dog didn’t like it
Well packaged and would have been easy to use but sadly my dog wouldn’t go anywhere near it. Not sure if the smell of it put him off but he never even got round to tasting it. On the whole I think it’s quite expensive if you have to use it as a daily part of life (epileptic dog). Based on the price and my dog’s reaction I’m not sure I’d recommend.
