Deeply Engraved Solid Brass Bone Dog tag

Received very quickly via Royal Mail first class post (letter sized envelope so no need to wait in for a delivery). Inside the envelope was a leaflet/post card advertising the company and stapled to this, inside a small ziplock bag, was the tag. Additionally the split ring to attach tag to collar was slid on to the edge of the leaflet. . I bought this for the reinforced hole the tag has. Previous tags have worn through at this point and while this takes significant time to happen you know it'll happen at the worst time. The tag is exactly as described. Its a good thickness with deep engraving that is filled with black paint (for want of a better word). The engraving is easily legible and the font size was upscaled on the side which just had a single name (the seller says they do this in the questions here on the product page). If the tag is too big or too small is purely a subjective thing. I can say that in my personal opinion the tag is large enough to not look ridiculous on a large dog but at the same time small enough to be suitable for a much smaller dog as well (but I don't mean those tiny tea cup dogs). When it comes to price this tag cost only slightly more than the previous tag I bought. I feel that barring some kind of disaster (the collar breaking for example) then this tag should last a lot, lot longer. So I feel that this is good value for money and I'm very happy with it. As the saying goes...buy cheap, buy twice.

The tag itself is perfect. Really clear to read. Seems very strong. No notable fade. So I’m very happy with the tag itself. But the loop somehow got caught in the dog bed and my puppy managed to stretch it open trying to get herself free. I was really surprised. I’m still using the tag itself as I’m happy with it but I have got a different loop to attach it.

I like these. They are reasonably heavy so wouldn't do for young puppies as might make their neck ache, (puppies shouldn't have heavy things attached to their collars) but for older dogs they are fine. With dog laws now insisting dogs wear address tags I recommend these for durability. I like that the ring that attaches the tag to the collar is thick. Tight and sturdy so doesn't rub grow thin and crack like some do. The tag itself is also engraved deeply so that too keeps the information and doesn't wear out over time. I've bought several of these over the years for many dogs Ive owned and I recommend these tags. Also they generally are delivered by royal mail within a maximum of 2 days after ordering. Before discovering these I bought cheaper tags but found the rings snap with wear and tear and tag drops off so my advice is to buy these heavy duty brass tags and you'll be happy you did.

Excellent dog tag. Arrived quickly and is excellent quality. My dog has lost several tags over the years due to the metal above the hole splitting. The reinforced hole should prevent this occurring with this dog tag. The engraving is very good quality compared to other tags I have had in the past. My dog has been wearing his new tag for a week. Running round the fields diving into ponds chasing his ball and the tag looks as good as new. I also liked the wording options "if I am out alone I am lost..." genius!! So true for my pooch who is always with me travelling throughout the UK doing ecology surveys with me. The text is very clear and easy to read despite the amount of information I included. I can highly recommend these dog tags and I'm delighted with my purchase!!

I had one of these engraved for my last best friend. When she passed away and I welcomed a new puppy into our home I came straight back to this supplier for a new tag. These tags don't disappoint. They're attractive, have a nice heavy quality feel, a very distinctive clink when the dog moves that also conveys the quality of the metal (not that high-pitched tinny ting you get from cheap products). It polishes up well and it retains readability for YEARS. I will never use another product unless I have no choice. I also order these in a smaller size for my cats. They've had them on constantly for years now and there's no sign of any issue or the lettering fading out. I polish them every 6 months and they come up like new!
