This did not work for me. First the QR to scan for the app did not work. Second I watched the video, wrote down the website after pausing the video, got the app installed and they were supposed to sent a confirmation code, I never received it. Third when I put the meter into my plant it was flashing to let me know it was working, 28 days later and nothing to indicate my plant needed watering. I returned it just before the return window closed.

The blade would not penetrate the soil so it would not work for me. I returned item.

The app has a 2.3 rating and was last updated 2 yrs ago. It barely connects and then only one out of ten times… an update is available for the meter but it sticks at 32% every time. I don’t know if it’s just this vendor’s iteration of what appears to be a popular format but steer clear

I received this as a gift, but I had asked for it. I did not have any troubles installing the app, or connecting to it. The data logging features is nice, the ability to pick what plant is being monitored is nice, and unlike another, very similar product which has many reviews that you cannot change the plant type once selected, this program allows you to change plants. Overall, it does what it's supposed to, I left off one star because the app is clunky and strange to navigate at first. Buttons that take you back a screen or off to other parts of the app can be difficult to see, as they blend in, or can be confusing as to what the button is even going to do. After some use, you do get used to the way it's laid out and how to navigate it, but it is frustrating at first. Overall, pleased with what it does and the control and information it gathers, but I do feel that they would benefit from putting a little more work into making the app better. Looking forward to the day when such devices feature wifi capabilites, and can send alerts via text.

These work perfectly with HomeAssistant. Highly recommended. However, unless you need these ASAP, you can get them on other sites for $10 less. Sure you gotta wait two weeks but if you need 10-15, it’s worth the savings.
