Remember that burr you welded onto your prized #2 Phillips driver?It's also not particularly good for the innards of a big value electrolytic that not designed for the massive surge of a dead short.These resistors are cheap enough to be insulated and fitted with an alligator clip on one end and a probe on the other for a more graceful way to discharge capacitors.

On my Surburban, After rebuilding engine, the KNOCK sensor code came on about a week 2-NEW A/Zone sensors were installed. Aftermarket sensors have made me resort to OEM in the future on ALL sensors. To remove UPPER PLENUM to return or put OEM sensors in is normally a $300 labor operation. These 2K ohm resistors soldered in place on the harness right before going under the intake is the desired resistance value to FOOL the engine computer and put my check engine light out. I surely would know if engine is tapping or knocking without the engine computer alerting me. This is the FIX to put the check engine light OUT without REDO labor operation.

They checked out OK, mostly at 148 ohms, close enough. The leads are very shortand I had to lengthen them in this application. They DID mention this in the ad, somy fault for not noticing.Hey. I was in a hurry!
