I've had several inexpensive LED PIR floodlights go faulty after only a couple of years so I decided to fit a plain bulkhead fitting with a standalone PIR sensor. Reviews pointed to this one being a good piece of kit, and I agree it's a well made little thing, so it's up on the wall (so is the lamp) and it's so far so good - time will tell. Good range of adjustments, i.e. vertically, laterally, time, and ambient light level. One caveat - the rear entry grommets are tight for cable over 7mm diameter, e.g HO5RN wouldn't go without a lot of persuasion. Nevertheless, a worthwhile purchase.

I found it very hard to find this sensor, my front door is on the side of the house just a few feet from my neighbour, so needed one that could be turned to face the street this was the answer. It works and I am pleased to have my outside light back, however it does not see me until I am at about 10feet from it. My previous light had a sensor which could be turned and worked for 12-13 years cant get another like it for love nor money. I would have given 5stars but for the distance the light comes on.

I used this as a replacement for a switch that went wrong. Main problem is there is insufficient space for proper cables. The previous switch had ample rom for the connecting block and 7 cables. In, out, and earth. I had to leave them in the wall and run just the two wires outside to the switch. Works ok and is openable for service if this is necessary.

Nicely made product and now that it has been wired in it works well, however there is one irritating feature. It is obvious that little or no thought has gone into the design of the wiring connections, there so little room on the back plate to accommodate two 1 mm twin and earth cables for the connection I had to release the terminal block from its mounting, with great care, to terminate the two cables.

Once again Timeguard has done the business. Always prefer to fit a standalone PIR instead of buying a light with one integrated as they’re more reliable and very few brands come anywhere near Timeguard.

The best I have ever used. It is worth paying a little extra for the quality.

Was looking for a sensor that had sufficient head adjustment to suit the positioning available. Found very few on the market; this model has a huge range of pan and tilt as can be seen in the pics. And the quality of the materials and manufacture was also the best I could find. Highly recommend.
