Excellent product and value
Have this in a 15L Biorb tank. It was easy to set up. Just plugged it in and put the element and sensor into the tank. Lay it on the gravel at the back. Lost a whole tank of fish last year in the summer because the heater stayed on when the water was already warm with the weather. So hoping this heater will cut off when the water gets warm in the summer. It’s lovely to see some technovation on fish tank heating.

Good and does the job...
...but...seems a touch on the expensive side but as with all 'branded' products I guess that is just something we have to live with. It does do the job well but there are a couple of things that could do with improvement:- the cable is a bit stiff so doesn't really hug the tank nicely and it's difficult to get it to go directly down, rather it takes on a curve of sorts. Nothing major but just means a bit more effort on trying to keep things in the right place.- the power unit comes with a black (removable) skin, would be good if they'd included the other colours like they did on the bit that is submerged in the tank. Again nothing major but would just look a lot better sitting next to my red tank if this was also red :)Also, once the tank is up to temperature the unit in the tank has a red light that flashes. There was no reference to this in the instructions and I had to look online to find out why it was flashing like that - I thought it might have had an issue. All in all it's a tidy and good looking addition to the tank, worth spending some extra ££ if you've already got a Biorb tank as it looks the part.

this is quite a cool bit of kit(as is a lot of bio orb ...
Ok,this is quite a cool bit of kit(as is a lot of bio orb stuff),it does cut down on cables/plugs.the main reason it only scores 3stars is,when the heater kicks in/out the power pack that normally runs fairly quietly, alters its pitch also,so you end up just waiting for it to change tone.On a slightly different issue is that the bio orb air pump is not particularly effective, and would advise on a different unit and just connect it to a mains plug!!

Worth the extra money in my opinion.
This heater has been in my Biorb for a couple of months now with no problems so far. Just what i wanted as you cannot see it at all, I've positioned it at the back of the aquarium and the wire is white so it blends in with my white plant. The temperature cannot be altered manually but my fish seem happy, so am I. Plugs into the same unit as the pump so it only takes up one plug socket .. Great ! In my opinion it was worth paying the extra money to have a heater that you cannot see as for me, Biorb is about beautiful colours to look at as well as happy fish.

Expensive garbage.
Worked for 6 months then packed up. Fish started dying as water was cold so had to nip to local store to buy another heater. Company offered a bare minimum replacement only, not a refund which is no good as I now have a new heater. Not like you can wait 2 weeks for a replacement is it? Also wanted me to pay postage both ways and the transformer that comes with heater is heavy. I’ve kept the transformer and dumped the heater in the bin where it belongs. Waste of time & money plus I have to fork out for some new fish.

Didn't work but looks slick
It didn't actually work. First off all I nearly cut through the actual wire because the the cable tie is so tight 😂 Then it wouldn't stick to the side of my biorb 60 because the sucker is not powerful enough to hold its weight, so I had to keep it at the bottom. Then there's a red light which shows you the temperature of the water but to be honest it had no rhythm and I felt like I needed an A level in heaters to follow and understand it. But TBH overall it just didn't heat the water properly, had to sadly take it back.I gave it two stars just because the transformer & heater is actually really slick and cool. You get to change the black to white on the heater to suit your aquarium.

Great heater.
Love this heater. It's so neat you can't even see in in tHe bio ube. The transformer is smart, and has made it really easy to hide all the wires. Although a bit pricey I do think its worth it. Aesthetically it's sooo much better thank he old style. Also it was delivered so quickly. Thanks so much.

Good!
It's a good power pack, I like how all the accessories fit into one unit. However, I would like it if it was smaller so it took up less room next to my aquarium. The heater is also very good.I like how all you need to do is plug it in and turn it on.(I don't like the way biorb have designed their tanks as you get a nasty white cable floating around. If only they made a small waterproof hole at the bottom of the tank where you could feed the cable through- where the air line connects perhaps?)
