Genuine SRAM quicklinks for 11 speed chain. Just makes fitting/removing a chain so much easier. If you want to fit to a new chain, you will need to remove at least one link so you get female (hole) on both ends of the chain.

Picked up a second hand bike with a sram drivetrain fitted and noticed one of the plates on the chain was cracked through. I wpuld usually like to swap everything in one go but rather than shell out on a whole new kit, swapping the broken link with one of these sorted it quickly and easily. Not a perfect/ideal solution but it'll keep me riding for the time being. I use a set of circlip pliers to press the pins together to remove these links, refitting them is a doddle if you split and join the chain on the bottom run, then turn the pedals to get the power link on the top run between the rear derailleur and the chain ring, then with the rear brake held on step firmly on the pedal. You'll hear it click shut.

This Quick Link is a good idea. I am a bit puzzled by the instructions - it says fit link so that the arrow points in the direction of travel - but the arrows on either side of the link point in different directions - so that is not possible. Or am I being stupid? Please also note - no tools are required to fit the link, but a special tool is required if you want to remove it.

Received 4 carded items exactly as advertised and as per the photo. These are genuine Sram, have the word Sram marked on the individual links along with the directional arrows.

If you buy a new chain it already has one of these on it.... these are spares for shortening the chain (not that you'll often do that). Handy to have a few spares though.

Item came in a small see through pouch, not as advertised. It's hard to tell if this is genuine or not and whether it might not last the duration

Imprescindible junto con un tronchacadenas, si quieres evitarte una llamada para que te vengan a recoger (suponiendo que no te pille el problema en mitad del monte, y te toque volver andando). Desgraciadamente me ha tocado usarlos tanto en carretera (donde llevo Shimano) como en MTB (donde llevo SRAM), y en ambos casos acabé cambiando la cadena antes de tener problemas con el eslabón sustituido. El precio es muy bueno, y como vienen con envase individual, siempre llevo uno en el bidón o bolsa de las herramientas. Antiguamente cuando las cadenas eran mas robustas, era posible incluso usar el tronchacadenas para volver a unir la cadena (perdiendo un eslabón), pero con el aumento de las velocidades, y la reducción del espesor de las cadenas, ahora mismo se me antoja casi imposible. En resumen, buena calidad y buen precio, aconsejable llevarlos en las salidas en bici (junto con una muti-herramientas con tronchacadenas)
