The Best for holidays and weekends.
All these Usborne large-format activity pads are great. In my view they are the best value, best-produced in the market, and they are educationally spot-on. The A3 size and the sturdy paper mean that the blank sides get made into wonderful pictures so we don't have to bring a drawing pad on holiday with us. The stiff card backing means they keep for framing back at home. The activities are great if you have an age range. For this one and the Rainy Day pad, you will get counting and colouring; codes, anagrams, word searches and other word puzzles; maths-type problems that help them with time, division and fractions; observational puzzles, etc. Tons to do on each page, and the drawings are perfect, plus the themes are pretty non-gendered. We got the Maps, Maths and Times Tables ones too, and the Maths one is our son's favourite, I think. The Times Tables one really helped him get the point at the beginning, and takes you through gradually, from the easy ones to the hardest, page by page.

Fab!
My7 year old really enjoyed doing this on holiday - some of the sums/word puzzles were aimed at older children I found but was still good as we solved those together.
