Question 1

I scanned the disc and it was fine. then on installation computer says malware found so quarantined files. dare not use it now. what do i do?

Accepted Answer

There is zero malware on our discs so this will be a false positive. OpenOffice has been around for over 20 years and PixelClassics has been in business since 2009, both of which would not have existed this long if the software or discs were compromised. All software is fully scanned 100% virus clean via three leading security programs, AVAST, SuperAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes. Please feel free to contact us directly via the dedicated support email address provided with your purchase so we can assist further.

Question 2

Will this work on a 2017 MacBook Pro?

Accepted Answer

Hello

Thank you for your message. This is fully compatible with Mac OS X but your Mac will need a drive drive in order to install from disc. If your Mac doesn't have a disc drive, there are still options to install....

1. Purchase a portable dvd drive (costs as little as £10 online).

2. Alternative option would be if you have a USB memory stick and access to another computer with a disc drive. You can then copy the whole contents from disc to USB memory stick, and install from the USB stick to your computer.

3. I can provide software download link. Please send me a message after purchase for further assistance.

Kind regards,
Dean

Question 3

The OpenOffice is old and unsupported now. The programmers released LibreOffice which is what you want. Also its free online.

Accepted Answer

Hello

I can categorically state that OpenOffice is still very well support with several updates being release throughout the year. All our discs include the very latest version (currently 4.1.6). OpenOffice has been in development for over 20 years, whereas LibreOffice is relatively new (started in 2011). Both include the same apps such as 'Writer' (word processor), 'Calc' (spreedsheet) etc, so it's just a matter of user preference and we therefore cater for both.

Please note this is the disc based version which is not available for free. Some customers prefer software on disc for a number of different reasons, along with the additional benefits/extras on disc and after sale support provided by PixelClassics.

Kind regards,
Dean

Question 4

Do you sell in any other format e.g. USB?

Accepted Answer

Hello

Thank you for your message.

We currently only sell on disc, but if you have a laptop without a disc drive, there are still several options you can use to install. You could transfer disc contents to USB memory stick and install that way, or we can also provide a download link.

Kind regards,
Dean
