Amazing product! Very easy to install and functions very well! I called today and spoke to Raven to switch my lock settings from right to left. She was very helpful and knowledgeable! Will definitely recommend Hornbill products as well as buy more!

The good: It looks nice, and I thought the app was ok and easy enough to set up the lock The Bad: Fingerprint sensor is worthless. Locks you out after 5 attempts and makes a siren noise. Using the buttons isn't an option sometimes. In the cold it seems to not want to recognize you want to even start entering a code. The lock mechanism itself is sloppy and loose. The handle feels pretty cheap. Bought 3 of these - they are all going back.

The buttons on this require a learning curve. Our friends have trouble using it if they’ve never used it before. I do love the key fobs though.

A great addition to have. Easy to install and so far, it's working great.

Dead Bolt and app is great, but Door Handle part in the middle is too short for standard door to fit. Screws are small compared to to the unit in the door currently

The key is the major problem. My dad refuses to use the keypad and doesn’t have enough if a thumbprint and he lost the only key we had… for years I tried different shops to try to make a coy but bc it was a Chinese key you could not get it copied. I took it to 6 different places, and not even Home Depot could do it bc the new electronic machines themselves don’t have the template key to make the copy.

It seems to be faithful to the manual or description when purchased. However, I don't know why the battery of the door lock I bought for the back door is running out quickly. The front one still has 80% left, but the back one is at 0%.

I purchased this product for my daughter and installed it back in May. It worked very well up until early Feb. The door wouldn't open. The latch inside the door handles would not move. I contacted Customer support and they were very helpful. I had a new part that was covered under warranty within 3 days. I installed the new part and the lockset is working great again. The customer support at this company is unlike any I have ever seen before. They even followed up a few days later to make sure everything was working properly now.

The locks finger print scanner does not work, the touch screen does not work properly and is bugging and pressing buttons itself and locking us out of the house often to which we have to wait for it to reset. Not a good quality door lock by any means and install of screws for door handle not user friendly and poor quality and easy to strip due to not being able to screw them in directly but on an angle. Edit: contacted customer service who told me that certainly my lock was defective and that they are sorry about that but my warranty period has ran out and was told nothing they could do. 200$ for a garbage lock that is locking my wife and baby and I out of our own house. Very frustrated with their customer service other people have rated to be incredible. Staying far away from this company and hope you spend the extra for a reputable brand.

Quality of the design and construction is mixed. The electronic deadbolt works great. The latch design (thumb latch) is just ok as we had some issues with the quality. The customer service was great (thank you!), they worked hard to resolve the concern.

So far the smart lock it's self works perfect. Had to go back and take it apart and put it back together again to get it to work properly but that was my fault for not reading the instructions fully. Re-read the instructions and put it back together properly and now everything works amazing. The problem i have with it at the moment is the handle itself, it is installed and works but only if you lift the handle upwards, it won't work when I press it down, how you would normally use the door handle. I have contacted customer support and will see if it was an installation problem or if the handle came broken. If it was my installation I'll change my review as well if support is helpful. Otherwise the lock it's self works great, easy to install (even easier if you follow the instructions lol), easy to set up fobs and finger prints ect. Really happy with the lock itself.

The smart lock works great. We added a gateway and I can lock & unlock the door from anywhere, but the latch broke the first couple days. Called Hornbill , took a while but they said they are sending a replacement latch…got the latch. Customer service has called several times to see if it was ok. Awesome company to deal with. Thanks
