Disgusting
If this is the best non-alcoholic gin spirit the industry has to offer, we’re all trapped in Gin Lane hell. This stuff tastes like florida water, with some used sink water and a lemon twist. These companies are praying on people trying to get away from alcohol, and serving bunk stuff in a faux booze bottle. You’re better off with some celery juice with ginger and lime. Some legit company will figure out the virgin spirit formula at some point and make a killing.

Pronounced taste with hints of a familiar cocktail
I read the reviews on this one as I was a bit stumped on how to describe this drink (flavors are always hard to describe!). This drink brings back memories of certain cocktails I've enjoyed. The aroma promises a fruity note, and while the initial taste does have a strong punch, it's balanced with an olive essence. The citrus undertone could be stronger, though. Similar to another reviewer, I usually prefer NLL's New London Light, but this mix has its own unique charm.

Light, yet unusual flavor
The New London Light Midnight Sun non alcoholic drink is a light summer drink, however the taste was unusal, almost woodsy. I did not like the flavor, but it was a light cool drink over ice.

Delightful Gin 'n Tonic!
This gal likes control and alcohol bearing substances threaten that feel. Along comes a 'mocktail' Gin and Tonic made with First Light. I was pleasantly surprised by the herbal flavors and the stay-in-control feeling even after 2 drinks!

Devoid of juniper flavor, very weak ginger and lime.
I had purchased this as it was described as being one of the most juniper-forward non-alcoholic spirits out there and was disappointed to find that not only is the flavor itself extremely weak (to the point where it tastes mild when consumed straight, let alone mixed) but the juniper is seemingly totally absent. The most present note is a limey citrus with an undertone of very mild ginger. Altogether, if mixing a mock gin and tonic I have to use more than double the amount I usually would to get the flavor to peek through at all, and even then it gets somewhat overwhelmed by the quinine of the tonic water. Better than just drinking tonic water on its own, but only just barely, and the description of it having notes of juniper at all was just outright false. I was not expecting it to taste like actual gin, but I was expecting it to taste like *something* at least. To add to this, the bottle was shipped with no packing material, loose in a box. The first bottle broke in transit and created a lengthy order cancellation process, which I have still not received a refund for. The second bottle miraculously arrived safe and sound but had zero void fill to prevent rolling around in the box and wasn't marked "fragile" or even "liquid" on the outside of the package at all, which is just absurd. Overall a very big disappointment. I'll finish this bottle but doubt I'd purchase it again, especially with the shoddy shipping.

Great London Dry Gin n/a alternative
As I've been experimenting with many different zero-alcohol spirits in determining what to stock my business with, I have to say that this is probably the best London Dry Gin substitute that I've found so far. Makes a pretty damn good martini and really blends well in a Tom Collins!

Does NOT taste anything like a gin!
Very little taste, like a light citrus. Don't buy if you want the taste of gin, and it's NOT returnable!

Bitter beauty
Okay, so this one’s definitely for those who prefer bitter drinks. If you’re more Campari than Aperol, this may be for you. Firstly, it’s its own thing, so don’t expect it to be an alcohol free something else. We’ve recently been trying the full First Light range and this was by far mine and my 10 year old’s favourite. We mix it as per instructions 1/3 Aegean to 2/3 light tonic (fever tree). Maybe less tonic to taste. Big ice cube and sprig of rosemary from the garden, and it’s so lovely.

Simply a stunning product and ideal if you are trying cut back on the booze
I have been quite sceptical about non or low alcoholic spirts and over the last 12 months have tried quite a few and have until now been disappointed. New London Light is in a league of its own. I love Salcombe Gin and having read two brilliant reviews of their new non-alcoholic spirit in The Times and The Telegraph by acclaimed wine critics, I just had a buy a bottle.Like most people, I have probably over indulged during lockdown, so in an attempt to cut back a little, I have been on the hunt for a replacement that makes you feel that you aren't missing out. I am pleased to report that I have found it. It is simply delicious. Serve with a light tonic water, a slice of orange and a sage leaf (if you have one to hand). I really like adding a small dash of orange bitters too.I know some people are critical about non-alcoholic spirits and the cost, particularly considering there is no duty to pay, but what most people fail to recognise is the cost to produce high quality non-alcoholic spirits is actually higher than the cost to produce a gin and technically it is far more challenging without having alcohol there to carry all the flavours and aromas. If you were to add the cost of duty and VAT on top of duty to the price, you would end up at about the same price as for a bottle of gin, which kinda makes sense. The liquid is really very special, and I feel quite virtuous drinking it and no fuzzy head the following morning. Brilliant. If only non-alcoholic wines tasted this good!

Tastes like gin!
It tastes like gin! I really get all of the botanicals and it is a great non-alcoholic alternative. I find slimline tonic is best as the lower sugar content and reduced sweetness allows the full flavour of the gin to be experienced.I’ve knocked off 1 star as it’s quite expensive but altogether I really enjoy drinking it and would recommend.
