How much weight does this item support?

I'm not sure with weight capacity but IMO, I wouldn't let someone 200lbs or more it in because I want my chair to last

What is the weight capacity?

I am somewhere north of 275 and it holds me fine. I have mine in my NOBO camper trailer and it is great for that. If you are going to sleep on it regularly, I suggest getting some sort of padding because there is a cross member that is right around my soft ribs. I ordered an inexpensive, self-inflating camping mattress that is the same dimensions as this unfolded chair. It is 3 inches thick and perfect.

Yes it folds out like a cot. Not very comfortable

Does everyone else have a gap (that the pillow falls down in it) in between the back rest and seat cushion while this is positioned into chair mode?

Yes. If the back to the chair is not all the way up.
