Great for Kids and adults alike
Bought this for my 7 year old grandson he loves you reading the stories to him, as he gets older he will read it himself. When discussing remembrance at school, his teacher was impressed at his knowledge. Very interesting for an adult to read very educating.

What a fantastic find
Me and my daughter who is 10 years old read the book together which is played out in an easy to understand way. Fantastic information for those kids who want to expand their knowledge on the war.

A well structured and interesting book
I found this book via the Book Trust, while looking for something to use for my PGCE interview, where I had a book presentation. I stand by everything I said about this book during my interview- Everything is neatly laid out and well structured, with topics broken down into simple, easy to read chunks which will keep the reader interested. The book is also neatly designed and colourful, I particularly like how the author has used several pictures from the IWM. While it may not be the most detailed WW1 book out there, it gives a good insight and overview of the key events/topics of the war. Overall, a fascinating and entertaining book- one which helped me secure a place on my PGCE course! Recommended.

I think this book is really excellent. It was delivered yesterday
I think this book is really excellent. It was delivered yesterday, 22 December, very quickly after ordering but - upon opening the Amazon packaging - the spine of the book had rips in it. Having already promised this book to my grandson (and he was actually there when I opened the packaging) I felt awful about the damage. He said he didn't mind and wants to keep the book as it is. The packaging had no damage and was fine, so the book must have been already damaged prior to despatch. What a shame.
