Didn't Last Without Fuel In The Tank

Functional product at a great price but I drained the gas over winter and this rubber grommet dried out and leaked gas the following spring. I have to keep gas in the tank over winter to keep it lubricated or put in a new one every spring. Not a biggie issue for the quantity and price.

Got hard and started leaking

After less than 4 months, this grommet has gotten hard and is leaking. At first it seemed like a good fit, but now it is hard and appears that the diameter has shrunk. I only had auto fuel with ethanol in it when I replaced the grommet and put fuel in the tank. The temp today is sitting at 58 F, so that shouldn't have been a problem. I bought a multi-pack of the grommets and I checked the others and they are still fairly soft and pliable. I will definitely need to find another source to buy from. I can't have a leaking generator in my garage near my furnace.
