Perfectly-Sized Hot/Cold Packs That Work for Various Body Areas
This is a great little kit for the times you need cold or hot for acute or chronic injuries. I favor using ice, and these are the perfect solution for my needs for icing a knee and neck. Here’s the lowdown:1. Regarding the packs:- Included are 2 packs that are 10” x 5.” They can be used individually or in unison, depending on the size of the body part.- They can be used for either warmth or cold. The cold pack lasts a long time and is immediately moldable to the body part.- For heat, the pack can be boiled in water or used in the microwave. Thirty seconds is suggested, but depending on your microwave, you may have to play with the time. I tried microwaving the pack for 30 seconds. I found that the heat dissipated to a lower level within 4-5 minutes, but the heat lasted for at least 10 minutes. I surmise that if I had cooked the pack longer, it would have been hotter and lasted much longer.2. Information about the wrap (pack holder):- The wrap is 25” in total length. The stretchy part is 10” long. There is a compartment for the pack with a velcro closure at the end to hold the pack inside (great feature).- The wrap may be used to affix the pack onto various body parts (depending on size), such as the hands, forearms, elbows, upper arms, shoulders, feet, ankles, calves, knees, thighs, small necks and around the head and jaw area.- Depending on your tolerance to heat/cold, you can use one of two sides of the wrap. One side is fuzzy/thicker, which means less warmth/cold and the other has holes so the effect is hotter/colder. Note: You can get frostbite or burns if you do not use a barrier, so be forewarned.- It would be nice to have an option for purchasing two wraps. If you’re icing a large area, like the hamstring area, another wrap would be handy and very convenient.

Great product!
I am very pleased with this product. The gel packs are large (10.5” x 5.5”) and because there are 2 of them, you can either use one as a cold pack and reserve the other one as a hot pack, or you can use both as cold packs, keep one in the freezer while you use the other and swap them out as needed. The Velcro wrap is a brilliant idea. My son had a fever and he used the wrap plus a cold pack on his forehead which worked very well since he could mold the gel pack to his head and use the wrap to keep the cold pack in place. Much better than the cold wet washcloth that we used to use! Microwaving the gel pack was a little finicky. After 30 seconds it was warm but with hot and cold spots throughout. Squeezing the gel back and forth a few times to “mix” it up and then another 30 seconds in the microwave helped even out the warmth. The wrap is plenty long enough to go around a head, leg, and arm. It is too short to wrap around a waist but is still useful as an extra layer to protect your skin from direct contact with the cold/hot pack..

Effective, Good Quality
This is replacing a similar product that I've had for a decade, and it seems of similar quality so I expect it to last awhile. A big plus to this one is that it comes with two hot/cold packs so you can have one getting cold in the freezer while you're using the other one. They take about an hour in the freezer to cool down. (For heat, you can microwave it for a minute or less.)The gel packs fit properly into the pocket on the strap, and the strap is long enough to get around an arm or a leg but it's not going to wrap around a torso. The length of strap is generous and it stretches and holds well as long as you're not jumping around. The velcro on mine was attached properly and held with no issues. If I could wish for any improvement, it would be to make the gel packs just a bit thicker so that they'd stay cold for longer. This is somewhat offset by the fact that you have two of them, though.

Lightweight Multi-Use Ice Packs
Pros• Quality construction, Fabric/Materials, Pouch holder, strap, & Velcro• Lightweight• Hot & Cold Use• 2 packCons• Coverage• Cooling timeVerdict (4.5 stars)Let’s start with the positives•Comfort- these are flexible with a soft fabric pouch (mesh nylon on inside/application side and felt like on the outside) so when in use they are comfortable and don’t cause any skin irritation with from direct contact• Quality- stitching is straight, flexible strap ( for adjusting fit), and the Velcro are of premium quality and durable• Versatile-they can be used with the pouch and strap or you can use the ice packs independently• Dimensions- packs are 10 ½ x 5 ½ inches and the pouches measures 25 inches in lengthDrawbacks• Effective cooling time is limited, and you will have to swap out for the second one to get a full 20 minutes of use• Coverage area is limited when using, for example with an ankle sprain you will only get full coverage on one side of the ankleOverallThese are good everyday hot/cold gel packs for minor sprains, aches, and pains. They can be used on all parts of the body, but for some applications you will have to hold or use your body weight to keep in place. The pouch and strap are best suited for use on your leg or arms.

NICE LARGE PAIR OF HOT/COLD GEL PACKS WITH COVER POUCH WITH DEFECTIVE VELCRO STRAP TAB
These hot/cold gel packs are well-made and sufficiently large to apply to any part of the body where some cold or heat will help. The stretch strap is generous and the Velcro tab is large and easy to attach anywhere along the strap or the gel pack pouch. However, the Velcro tab is only attached to the strap along one edge and half of it was not even attached at all. The Velcro tab should be securely attached on both edges because Velcro takes a lot of stress when you pull it off. We have to sew both edges - the defective one and the loose one - to make the cover pouch usable.I have reduced the rating by two stars because we have to make tedious repairs right out of the box.I expect the gel pouches to work fine and I will update this review if there are any issues with them after we fix the pack pouch.
