These are perfect. Just as described. Very impressed with how sturdy they are and the coating. From a 22 revolver to a 44 magnum python all fit perfect.

Spent the afternoon tinkering with pistols and was inspired to write a review on some of the products that I bought from Amazon. First the Lockdown 6 Gun Handgun Rack, not only do they keep things organize in the safe but it is also useful for transporting pistols. It has a thick plastic coating that won’t scratch the guns. Now I can have my pistols out of their factory cases and the safe is no longer that crowded. I put my pistols barrel down instead of barrel up like shown in the maufacturer’s pic. Just my preference.Second are these TRUGLO Kimber Tritium Night Sights, they are amazingly bright and much bigger compared to the SA factory night sights. This is my first time to replace 1911 sights and the install was made easy by using Fisher Solutions Sight Pusher (www.sightpusher.com). Watched some you tube videos on how to install them and saw a couple that uses a brass pinch and a hammer. Do yourself a favor and go for the sight pusher instead, just take your time and it's quite easy. Changed out the sights on 3 pistols in one sitiing. Replaced the black factory sights on two procarry, no more painted front sights for me. The three dot system is so much easier to acquire compared to plain black.The HiViz fiber optic sights for STI is well made. Perfect for my old tired eyes. No more painted front sight on this STI Duty One 5.0.The directions on sight removal differs for different manufacturers. Kimber sights are removed pushing from left to right while STI’s are removed from right to left. Install is the opposite direction.

This sturdy, well coated pistol rack fits on the bottom shelf of my Stack-On GCB-500 Steel Pistol/Ammo Cabinet (see review,) with room left over to store boxes of 9mm ammunition between the rack and the side wall. I have no revolvers, but it will easily accommodate six automatic pistols with trigger locks in gun socks, which is the way I store mine other than my current EDC pistols. Pistols generally fit best trigger up and grip to the front. The smallest pistol I store in the rack is a Ruger SR22 with 3.5' barrel; and the largest is a S&W 659 full size service pistol with 4" barrel. An S&W 22A target pistol with standard grips and 5.5 inch barrel is too long to fit in the rack without struggling to get it in or out, so it is stored locked and socked trigger up in front of the rack. With a full complement of hand guns aboard, and the 22A parked in front, there is still room to store more than 2500 rounds of 32 ACP, .380 ACP and 9mm ammunition in boxes, and 20 magazines attached magnetically to the interior of the door in addition to those stored in pistols. The rack makes the cabinet much more useful, as it allows me to remove the foam shelf pad (making the stacking of ammunition boxes more stable) and to securely store my hand guns oriented vertically, rather than on their sides. Use of the interior cabinet space is much more efficient with the rack.Normally, the highest rating I assign a product without extended use experience is 4 of 5, but IMHO this one is a 5 of 5 based on a month of use.

Wow, was not expecting much for the price, but it is very very solid. Nice welds, its straight (sits level), and feels nice and heavy and well built. Holds pew pew nicely and far enough apart they can not touch each other. Much preferable to leaving pews all over my shelf. Nice!

Very good quality and works very well EXCEPT when using big bore revolvers like S&W N Frames. The cylinders are too big to fit between the side spokes.

With limited space in a smaller upright safe having a single shelf, there was a need for a reliable and affordable pistol rack. The Lockdown 6 was selected due to its strength and design. There are only large frame pistols with above average weight of the polymer framed autoloaders in vogue stored in this rack. And this rack fit perfectly onto the shelf, and provides an absolute solid hold of my single revolvers as well as a 4" N frame S&W. It was the perfect choice for me. The method of using an inverted placement of the pistols further extended them towards the back of the shelf, not causing any interference with the safe's door when closed. An ingenious idea. As in the title of this review, it is rock solid. Zero shifting or moving removing or replacing weapons with this rack.As a person who takes extreme care of his weapons, I can wholeheartedly recommend this rack to others seeking a very stable rack for their prized weapons.

I actually have my guns, various autos and revolvers, facing butt down. Either way works just fine. The rack is what it is: simple and inexpensive but works. I have a six slot version and a four slot version.

This is a nice handgun rack for the gun safe. I was running out of door storage and wanted a place to rest my other handguns while in my safe without scratching or marring their finish. The coating on this item is very thick and seems like it will stand up to years of casual use. I was not a big fan of the type of handgun holders that requires me to place a metal rod into my barrel. This type of system seems to support the firearm better and is a nice item to rest guns on in my safe.I am considering buying another one as an outside of safe resting/support system for firearms while cleaning them or arranging my safe.Overall, I am satisfied with this item and think it is a quality item for a very fair price. Amazon's price was much better than other retailers both internet based and brick/mortar stores.
