I'm not one to write reviews so please bear with me.I just love these. They look good and offer so much value for the money.First of all, we buy lanterns every year.. They never last! But this, this is different. The lantern is made of silicone and although you can squash it, it's surprisingly strong and sturdy, and bounces back from said squashed state with no problems. I can also confirm it bounces well and is still fully operational and in one piece 😉It doesn't need batteries.. I can't be the only one who is celebrating this! It comes with a usb charger and can also be charged in the sun by utilising the solar panel! Perfect for camping.There are 3 light settings. I don't think I'll ever use the flashing one but the dimmer setting is perfect as a night light for getting the kids to sleep and the brighter one is enough to be able to read. It can be hung up or carried around like a lantern, both were great. It's extremely lightweight too.With the storage too I really feel I have got great value for money and we can't wait to use these again soon! Overall a brilliant product and I would highly recommend.

A fabulous light. I bought this to replace a previous one that was ‘taken’ by a visiting 4-year old who fell in love with it. In fact, I’m on an almost constant re-order as I carry a couple when I travel off the beaten track for work. Every time, my colleagues beg me to leave my squishy solar light behind.They’re lightweight, tactile, tough and reliable.They have a lovely glow which is strong enough to read a book by. They are also really handy for storing things that can’t get wet.Versatile and clever.

+++ Holds charge (for months!)++ Bright light+ Multiple light modes+ Storage-jar space+ USB charge-able as well as solar chargeable= With such a small solar panel, I wouldn’t be surprised if it takes v long to charge by that means - but I haven’t tested that yet...

We've been trying to convince my 4 year old son to get up in the mornings and go for a wee in the bathroom instead of going in his nappy so that we can switch to wearing pants. He's been saying that he's scared to go out his room, even though we have a plug in light in the hall and a glow in the dark bathroom cord pull handle.So I brought this for him as I thought it would make him feel a bit braver.Its worked a treat and most mornings I hear him come out his room with his little shining lantern.When I first took it out the box I thought it was odd it was that it was so squishy but actually now I quite like it. I love that you can store things in it. We don't really need to put stuff in it at the moment but its nice to have the option for the future. I think its going to get a lot of use as my son gets older and we start camping and going on staycations. Also he'll probably like hiding stuff in it from his little sister.My son was also pretty excited about the solar panel on the top. He puts it on his window sill every day so it can "get power from the sun"

Very impressed with this. Bought as a Fathers Day present to go on scout camp with and not only did he love it but all the other leaders wanted to know where he got it from. Have yet to test out the solar recharging efficiency as charged it up before camp and lasted the two evenings of weekend. The bright level is seriously bright, and gives a good throw. The fact that it also squishes up to nothing and can carry stuff inside it is a bonus. Be warned though, those reviews that say you can use it as a drinks bottle you REALLY can't, it isn't rigid enough and I doubt it's food safe silicon. Good value for money at £10 and would be great for kids to use as much less likely to break than torch.

Not the best, hit and miss if you can turn it on and off before it folds up, unless you fill it up with something.which, in my opinion defeats the object of having a light as you lose an awful lot of light.

Very tactile. Great product. It squashes down to pack & seems fairly unbreakable. The light is great. The lamp is quite light so easy to hang from the roof of a tent and gives a good all round glow.The light is not as good as a directional torch if walking along and you are watching your footing on a path but if you unscrew the top part and just use that without the silicon jar part it is great.My friend had one on camp in the summer. I have since bought 2 for myself and 2 for presents. It charges up really well. A great purchase.
