Fits our 30cm frying pan perfectly
I took a chance on this as the Tefal range our pan is from (Intuition) was not listed, but the lid fits perfectly. Very pleased.

Seems a tad large.
I bought four 24cm frying pans a few days ago and none of them came with lids, so I decided to buy 2 off Amazon to share between the 4 pans (saves on space and I rarely use more than 2 pans at once). I decided to buy a cheap option and a slightly dearer option working on the theory that at least one of the two will fit snuggly. This Tefal was the dearer of the two purchases and whilst I'm sure I could have found dearer, Tefal is at least a well known and reasonably respected brand. The other lid was an unknown brand, but was cheaper to compensate. Trying this lid on all four of my new pans reveals that either every single one of the four pans are ever so slightly larger than 24 cm, or this Tefal lid is ever so slightly larger than it should be, it simply doesn't seal all the way around the pan as I'd expect it to. Although it doesn't sit perfectly it will still sit inside the lip enough in one side to warrant keeping it rather than going through the hassle of returning it, I feel that it will still allow heat to build up inside the pan which was the express reason for buying. Given its lack of precision fit I feel 4 stars is about as good a score as I can give it, and that is based mainly on the fact that there are no sharp edges and it feels to be made of decent quality materials. It doesn't feel cheaply made. The lid handle seems to be especially more suitable than the cheaper brand as it has a decent sized area to grip. Perhaps if I had a Tefal pan to try it on I'd find it fits perfectly, but as I don't I can only speak as I find and as an engineer 24cm should be 24 cm regardless of brand. After measuring the external diameter of the rim of both lids, the Tefal is showing as 23.75cm whilst the cheaper lid has a diameter of 23.6cm. I expect there to be a tolerance to allow for errors, but it's a little disappointing that the lids don't seem to be the same.

Suitable quality replacement
Was needed after someone dismantled the lid from a previous pan lid whilst I was out of the house. Not a cleaning exercise

Looks good and fits!
This fits the pan and works as it should. Just seems to be an expensive way to buy a pan and lid.

Measure your pan, carefully, before ordering.
Don't assume that this fabulous 28cm Tefal lid it will fit your fabulous 28 cm Tefal pan because, in many cases, it won't. Foolishly Tefal seem to have decided that 28cm means different things in different pan ranges.DIMENSIONS OF THE 28cm LID THAT I RECEIVED(*) Overall outer diameter, about 296 mm.(*) Diameter across the bit that will fall within the pan, 278 mm (** critical dimension **)(*) Width of the lip, about 9mmNOTES FOR DIFFERENT PAN SIZESThe critical dimension of the lid is the diameter of that bit that falls within the pan (278mm as noted above), and the corresponding critical dimension on your pan is the inside diameter across the top, i.e. the inside diameter of the pan rim.(+) If the inside rim diameter of your pan is less than 278 mm then the lid will either balance precariously on the rim of the pan, or fall off.(+) If the inside top diameter of your pan is less than 279 mm (27.9 cm) then I'd expect the lid to be a very snug fit, or possibly sitting partly in and partly on the pan rim.(+) If the inside diameter of your pan is between 280 mm and 284 mm then I'd expect the lid to be a decent fit.(+) If the inside diameter of your pan is greater than 284 mm and less than about 292 mm then I'd expect the lid to be a sloppy fit and I'd expect this to be usable but less than ideal.(+) If the inside diameter of your pan is 300 mm or greater then the lid will sit inside the pan -- this might be perfectly usable but perhaps not what you wanted.COMPATIBLE PAN RANGESThe label attached to the lid says that it is compatible with the following pan ranges:(*) Expertise(*) Talent Pro(*) Exception(*) Character(*) Hard Titanium +(*) Revelation Plus(*) Comfort Max(*) Pleasure(*) So Intensive(*) Elegance(*) Cook Right(*) Logics(*) Early

apparently sizing of pans to lids is rocket science! But although gap around pan has proved useful addition to kitchen
