Test Drive Unlimited 2 (Xbox 360)

All these people giving 1 and 2 star reviews must be playing a different game to the one I've spent 6 hours a day playing for the last 4 days because the game I've got is amazing fun. Yes there are a couple of glitches (none of which are particularly intrusive) and there is a bit of a cheesey storyline running through the championship races but so what, if you were buying this game for it's story then you'd be completely missing the point. The fact is this game has more freedom than any other driving game EVER. Apart from from the championship contests there are hundreds of other quests to do, and 2 MASSIVE islands to completely explore at will. I've not had any issues with corrupted saves. I also cannot understand everyone's issues about the handling either. The game isn't sim like admittedly but with a minimal amount of practice handling the cars becomes second nature and none of the driving tests are particularly hard they just give you a feel for what to expect when racing in the different driving categories. This isn't supposed to be a racing sim like Forza, what it is, is a huge open world driving game. I was a huge fan of the original TDU and this is even better being twice the size.If you buy this game understanding what it is you are going to get and if you are a fan of the original, you will NOT be disappointed I assure you.Brilliant 5/5

Test Drive Unlimited 2 is a Great Car Game. Unfortunately I don't get a lot of time too play it, it's the kind of game that requires a lot of game play, but once you earn enough money and purchase houses, then you can explore IBIZA and Hawaii more.On your cars 'you can use your indicators', 'open the windows','beep', 'flash your headlights' and on convertibles 'open and close the rooftops'.It's a great car game, 1 of my favorite Games.You can chill in the Casino and play Cards, Roulette, Slot Machines.You can now drive Motorbikes.This is one of my favorite games @ 7/10I think this is a Game you should grab a copy of.

This game is definitely not as good as TDU. I rate that as one of my favourite games ever. The sense of freedom it gave you was unparalled.TDU2 is good but some very annoying additions have been made. The whole storyline thing is truly rubbish and should have been canned on the 1st pass game dev meeting.TDU fans loved the fact that it was a case of buy a car, find a race, win the race, find a garage, add kit to car, find a race, win race etc.... Here, we enter a championship and don't even have to find the next race start point??!! This goes completely against what made TDU brilliant, you had to find your own way, find roads you had not been down before, to find that next race / mission / job etc.The driving does feel a bit strange compared to the original TDU. TDU is not a driving sim, never was meant to be; but the driving just feels very twitchy with little feel. I have it set to hardcore but cornering is very hit and miss. Sometimes it seems like you can't fall off the road, then others you run wide for no real reason. I have also noticed that the cars start to pull to the side a little.Anyway, I have still given this game a 4 star review because of what it is - completely different from any racing game out there. I'm hoping I can tune out the awful cutscenes, the very annoying characters and just enjoy the game as it should have been presented - like the first one. Hopefully the racing will become more fluid when the quality of car improves. In the original, you really felt the difference between cars but eventually you mastered the little nuances of each vehicle. I'm praying a patch will help with the twitchness.I was really looking forward to this release, like no other sequal of recent times. I just feel somebody in Atari has really dropped the baton here and gone down the cheesy route. We just wanted to cruise Ibiza and Oahu, buy car, race car, find mission, find car dealer, buy another car, pimp car etc etc.

Much has been written about this game, not all of it complimentary. But since its release a lot of improvement work has been done, bugs have been fixed, new features added and DLC released. For me, being mostly an offline player, and one who enjoys the exploration aspect of open-world games as much as the racing, I can't say I've ever enjoyed an Xbox game as much. Even now months after completing the Solar Crown tournaments, I still fire it up just to cruise around the highways of Hawaii in my Ferrari F430 or the dirt tracks of Ibiza in the Lancia Delta. The landscapes are vast and beautifully rendered, so give this game a go now it's at budget price.

This didn't work a total waste of time

Very addictive game and I highly recommend it to anyone who likes games that you can play stress free. It's a racing game mixed with sims in my opinion leading to a world class game. The graphics are great and the controls are good and easy to pick up. Graphics 9/10 game play 8/10 overall experience 9/10
