Product description Bresaola is a lean piece of beef fillet that is marinated in spiced brine, then cured for 2 months until it becomes very hard and a dark red, almost purple colour. Bresaola is extremely difficult to slice so it is always better to buy it ready sliced by professionals.I serve as part of a platter of cold cured meats such as Parma ham and salami, or on its own garnished with top quality olive oil and black pepper, plus a few shavings of Parmesan cheese and salad leaves. This bresaola is horrible. It smelt absolutely disgusting as well as it felt like it was not cured properly and it was just a piece of raw meat. Usually bresaola slices are quite dry, but this one was very moist, just like a sliced piece of raw meat. My husband, who is allergic to fish, refused to try it (despite me persuading him that it was bresaola made from BEEF), as it smelled terribly fishy. This is just so you can get an idea of the smell. This product is disgusting, the worst I've ever eaten. Never order again. BEWARE
