Earth! My First 4.54 Billion Years (Our Universe, 1) Hardcover – Picture Book, October 24, 2017

I love all her books. They are a must have for any elementary teacher. I have used them from Kinder all the way to 5th. All ages like them. They are informative, fun, keep the kids attention and the science is accurate.

My second graders love this book. The illustrations are cute and this gives a nice surface level introduction.

Earth! My First 4.54 Billion Years is the perfect book to celebrate Earth Day and learn about our world. Stacy takes you through a history of how the Earth came to be. My space loving 4 year old son is obsessed with this book and keeps reminding me of all the fun facts we read about on a daily basis! The story starts with baby Earth, walks the reader through her childhood and ends with how she is today. Between the humorous text and the hilarious pictures you won’t mind when your child/students ask you to read this one again and again!

I bought this for my four year old grand daughter and while a bit technical for that age, the pictures kept her interest and she enjoyed most of the information. I also got this for a three year old grand daughter and that might have been too young and she was not as interested. Either way it is a well written and entertaining book with very good illustrations. I highly recommend and it is also very good at starting conversations about science with young children.

Purchased this book as a Christmas gift. Can I just say, he loved it! He kept asking his mom to read it again and again. He just loves books about science, the earth, the planets, the weather. Although I purchased it after reading the wonderful reviews here and having not read it myself. I did glance through it and I can tell you it’s well written and keeps the younger child’s interest, he was 3 and turned 4 shortly after receiving this book. The illustrations on each page are awesome too! I’m extremely happy with this purchase.

I love these books shhh big kid at heart!I am a mother of three 2.5 , 5 and 6 year old . My children love these books they are engaged not bored or distracted like other books are wordy or facts oriented. The book is scientifically accurate yet playful and funny. I brought the Moon book in this series and I can't wait to buy the sun book. If your children are fascinated with astronomy or even if they are not they will love this book.

This book is FANTASTIC! The voice of Earth, telling your little one about its history and family....hooks you on the spot. (For kids AND adults!) It's personable and fun, but informative and thought provoking. The illustrations are charming. My son can't get enough of this book. He loves to read it again and again, asking questions and marveling at the art. Don't forget to take the dust cover off to see what's underneath. Simply a must for your library. And your child's! :)

The book is cute and explains a lot in kid terms! My son & his class loved it, we read it on earth day! My only reasoning for taking a star away is that the last pages of the book I received we’re stuck together making the last bit of information unable to be read.
