I was initially disappointed to find out that these didn’t come with a top as pictured and that instead of getting a 10 cages if I wanted to stop the squirrels I had to use the wire squares to add tops and reducing the 10 cages down to 8 cages but I ABSOLUTELY love these things. In fact if you configure the zip ties correctly - you can configure with the top and make them so that you can collapse them without ever cutting the zip ties off.Then just use a old fashioned twist ties so you can open and close the top panel to put seedlings in and out or easily get to your plants inside!!!The stakes are of an absolutely amazing thickness and securely puts the boxes into the ground!!! I’ve had a squirrel or raccoon topple the top panel a time or two but not actually get in and could use more twist ties if I’ve wanted too … but extremely happy and has protected seeds and baby plants I would have lost based on past experiences!!!You can also put two square boxes elongated and overlapping to create a longer larger cages to be rectangular and then just use twist ties again!!!I would note that based on the protective film on the cages - when I put them together - my hands would be black and simply washed my hands really well to get off after assembly!!!I don’t know about longevity but have had outside in Florida weather for 2+ months and seen no deterioration of cages and no rusting which can happen very quickly!!! I had ordered 1-2 sets initially and ordered one more once then did 3 sets!!! I just found this as a 20 box set - 80 panels from the same seller and just ordered 2 more of of 80 piece sets since I’m so happy with the flexibility in configuration, the ability to collapse when not in use based on how I zip tied them, the usability and success of keeping my seedlings safe, and ability to secure easily and get to my plants, and what appears to be durability so far and the price/size compared to other options out there - love, love, love this product by this seller !!!

I love these boxes. Because you can build it yourself I was able to make boxes that protect groupings of plants from those pesky rabbits. It worked like a charm. The fine mesh and color allow them to blend in with the environment and they're hardly noticeable around the yard. Ordering again.One thing to keep in mind, the mesh sides bend easily so I won't leave them out over winter as I don't think they'd withstand the weight of Minnesota snow.

I liked that you can make different sized cloche for assorted sized plants. I made mine with tops to protect my lovely hostas that the deer have been eating down to the nubs for several years. Even though the wire mesh panels were secured with a tight plastic band some of the were a little warped but using floral wire (not included) and zip ties (included), I made it work. It took me about 20-25 minutes to make each cloche. Most of the ones I made had 4 sides and a top. Two were rectangular (sides used 2 panels, ends had 1 panel and top had 2 panels). One was a triangle and I easily bent one panel over the top of the triangle for a 3 sided cloche. Even someone who considers themselves "not handy" can make these.

I bought this, as pictured in the listing - it was great. The wire could be cut. So I reordered it and I got a different, similar product that was actually better - instead of zip ties, the cubes were already assembled and had metal rings that you can put the pins through on either end. The wire was also much sturdier. I like this way better, but I don't know if that's what will be shipped next time. Both products did what I needed, but the second one was way better.

These were great to protect my vistas in the spring. Normally the rabbits and deer eat them as soon as they start growing, but these cages are a good size and gave my Hostas room to grow for a month. Then I removed them once they were big enough to survive. I have folded up the cages and will save them for next spring. Great product!

We purchased the 1 ml. Squares to create plant protection for some small shrubs. They are well made, and very easy to work with. Hubs chose to make them into circles. They are just the right stiffness to easily manipulate and connect with zip ties. Flexible but stiff enough to prove adequate protection. The black color looks clean and not too obtrusive. Will buy again.

Very flimsy. Not good quality. I will use for the short time they will last or till the wind or dogs carry them away. Maybe the plastic ties will last longer than the cage. Idk

The edges are very sharp and pointed on every side, so be extremely careful. Both my son and I got cut walking around them. Secondly, these are not as sturdy as they look in the pictures. Just imagine zip-tying metal wires together. They are flimsy and when we put one together over the garden bed like people did in the pictures we forgot to cut the zip ties like they did and it looks so horrible. It takes absolutely forever to put together. To do every one in this box took about 6 hours and WE RAN OUT OF ZIP TIES. They don't even provide enough for all sides of the connections! Not a fan, don't recommend.
