Nice suit, runs small
Very nice, comfortable suit. Bought it for lap swimming and it’s perfect. It does seem to run small, however. I’m 5’9” and 150 pounds and the 36 fits perfectly (tight but not digging in and doesn’t get loose while swimming).

Good quality
I'm 5' 3" about 108 lbs and I bought a 36. I probably could wear a 34, but I didn't want it pulling on me. I haven't worn a one piece for years. This suit seems to be a good quality suit and is comfortable.. I've had it for about a month and wear it for lap swimming three times a week.

Great Suit
This swimsuit runs small, suggest sizing up. It doesnt rise up and stays in place. Def recommend.

Favorite suit by far
I just started swimming at the beginning of the wear for a triathlon and this suit is perfect for my training. Novice that I am I never thought about how athletic swimming suits are different from a one-piece bathing suit. Before I was feeling like I was going to burst out of the suit I was wearing, so this feels way more comfortable. Enough stretch to be able to get in and out of it but not so much that it's loose. I got the navy color and it's very flattering. I have another similar suit that is a lighter blue that shows my curves a little more, but with this one it's not as obvious.

Seams cause chaffing inside arms
The seams/stitching under the armpits are raised and rough. They cause chaffing on both my inner arms. Now I have to rub Body Glide while I search for a new suit. Every time I swim this suit grates bits of skin from my arms. Granted I still need to lose a little more weight in the side boob area/lats, but it's a cruel reminder.I have compared this suit to the Solid Durafast Diamondback and the under armpit seams are sewn differently on the Diamondback so that no material sticks out. Reluctant to buy another swim suit online, so I am waiting for my local sporting goods store to get the Diamondback in a larger size.Other than the seam problem, this suit has maintained its color over four months of swimming in a saline pool a mile 4x a week. It has held its shape well. When I bought the suit I was losing weight and in between sizes (5'3 and 142 at that time). So I bought the size 36 and 38. I have the same chafing problem with the size 36. Now I am 130 pounds and the size 36 is snug, as expected given the none-stretchy material. Fits fine in the torso. Cut on the legs is just right -- modest, not too high or too granny. I have always worn swimsuits with the wide straps so I automatically purchased this style. As one reviewer pointed out, this suit does show the "headlights". It is lined except in the butt area. I have to remember not to lean against the wall of the pool, as the wall is rough and the butt material shows the rubbing.I like the Durafast because it keeps the color, so I will likely buy another Durafast suit. (The lycra Maxback was my first experience with the TYR brand. It was more comfortable but disintegrated after 3 months). Years ago I wore Speedo, but their suits seem to be cut smaller and higher on the legs nowadays. I'll probably buy my next swim suit from my local store instead. It's not Amazon's fault, I just need to look at seams from now on.Keep swimming!

while being boring and plain will do a better than one with ...
I teach swim lessons and am in a pool for around 15 hours a week, this means my suits wear out quickly. I learned my lesson that in order for a suit to last it needs to be polyester and should have the least amount of stitching areas. The stitching goes faster than the suit in most cases. This suit, while being boring and plain will do a better than one with frills and designs. I like the fit, the fabric does have stretch and I have to say I needed to go down a size. It even controls the side boob! I see lots of reviewers say it was too small and to order a size up, but in my situation it was the opposite. It is not loose, but when you put on a suit 3-4 days a week and wear them for up to 4 hours any suit is bound to stretch and I don't want any of my parts falling out. As one of my 3 year old students has pointed out, "You have a big bummy!" Indeed I do and this suit covers it pretty well!

Perfect suit
I swim laps about 3 times a week and am admittedly still overweight (working on it!). I ordered this suit based on the fact that I have always loved Tyr suits and on reviews about this suit's stretch and sturdiness. Both are still true. I then wanted a red suit, so I ordered another Tyr (a maxback, but not a durafast). No comparison. The non-durafast suit was still well made, but it was small on me and I felt that I needed a shoe horn to get the suit on. I tried ordering in a larger size, but still no joy. This suit has been holding up beautifully and I gave up on the non-durafast and ordered a black suit with red trim. A fair compromise for the perfect swimsuit.UPDATE. This not a perfect suit. I rotate my suits, so this suit is used in a sodium-base chlorinated pool 2-3 times a week. The fabric is holding up, but it starting to show signs of stretching out. The most irritating thing, though, is that the thread used for the top stitching has turned an unfortunate shade of fuschia. I don't know if that happens with the other colors, but I would not buy this suit again.

it's a dream suit!
super comfortable, super stretchy, super flattering. i can't believe a swimsuit (for actual swimming) has been designed so well. I am a 50 year old woman, in shape and muscular, 158 pounds, with a 36 DDD chest and the 38 fits perfectly. i am so happy how this suit keeps everything where it should be. it's honestly a dream suit.

TYR Sport Women's Solid Durafast Maxback Swim Suit
I always buy TYR swimsuits. The reason I have a few swimsuits is not because they are bad quality, it is because I just don’t like to wear the same swim suit every day.I have a "TYR Alliance T-Splice Maxfit" in size 38 which fits perfectly, a bit tight to put on, but once on it feels just right. The “TYR Sport Women’s Solid Durafast Maxback Swimsuit” appears to be a bit larger than the “Alliance T-Splice Maxback Swim suit" which may be due to the softer and stretchier material. The back comes up to the waist and is nicely cut. The lined swim suit appears to hold more water than the "Alliance". I wonder whether with wear and tear it may start sagging. I have lost two pounds which may or may not be the reason the swim suit feels a bit too large. I may have to shorten the straps a bit which should be easy enough to do. Maybe I should have ordered a size 36 for this model.Overall, I am finding TYR swimsuits to be very good quality swimsuits that fit well. I just ordered another "Alliance T-Splice Maxback Swim suit" which, at this stage, I prefer. I chose the size according to the TYR website and, as far as I am concerned, the sizing is accurate.
