Ordered these, and given the price, did not expect it to be anything other than mediocre quality. Oh boy was I wrong! Great quality and the aluminium case is a big bonus!!As usual, Amazon delivered quickly and when I opened the case was amazed to find just how good the quality is. My son, an aerospace engineer, had a look and promptly ordered a set for himself to use at home he was so impressed by the quality. "Excellent for home DIY" was what he said.

OK, they are cheap and will not take on large hole widening in metal without bluntly quickly, even with oil coolant applied. Supposed to be high speed but dont, go as slow as possible to retain sharpness of cutting edges. Always use an oil or coolant to cut with. Found the smaller gauge drill bits faired better but the large one ended up being binned.Trouble is there are no alternatives between these prices and £45 upwards for the same kind of sets.

These really are tough, they come in a really nice case and fit nice and snug. They cut through cast aluminium like butter and I cut through 3mm stainless steel absolutely no problem. They are still sharp too

Arrived very fast, used couple of the peices and work great. Great value for money too. Recommended.

I purchased these for a specific job to open up some existing holes to 15mm however I tried 3 different bits on the 2mm steel plate and they did not touch it I had to abandon the job in the end as the step drills were blunt within about 3 turns. The steel was harder than the drills I have no boubt that these drills are NOT cobalt, I use standard cobalt HSS drill bits every day and they drill hole after hole in steel without blunting. These drills would not touch stainless steel. Very disappointed with this product would not recommend.

Me ha gustado la cajita de las brocas.En una chapa de 2mm di taladro de guía de 5mm y quise ampliarlo a 14mm. Con una de las brocas lo agrandé a regañadientes. En el segundo taladro no pasó de 12 mm.Nuevo intento con otra de las brocas ,hasta 12 vaya, y a continuación abandonar. Aclaro , la chapa es de acero dulce donde las brocas normales entran sin dificultad. Usado un taladro de columna, no de mano. Con velocidad media.Resultado : Estas brocas no me han servido para nada.Dinero tirado.
