Surprisingly good
Put this off for a while as I thought it wouldn't live up to the hype, but glad I put the time into reading it as it is really well written

Enjoyable read
This was my first dive into Victorian Gothic literature. I'll admit that I was a little intimidated as its not my usual genre and wasn't sure if I would be able to follow the language of that era but I was surprised by how easy this book was to read. I was captivated by the plot and found it hard to put down because I just wanted to finish the book. I would have given 5 stars but the ending felt a little anti climatic to me but I really like this edition of this book and did thoroughly enjoy reading it.

Abrupt ending
Daughter studied for a levels, enjoyed book more than Dracula, but ending felt like writer just couldn't be bothered! Book itself was quickly despatched and quickly arrived in mint condition.

Gothic Horror
I received "Carmilla" a day early (Oct. 9) and in pristine condition...I've already started to read it and am enjoying it very much! Just in time for Halloween...Perfect!

A Scary Little Book!
A quick, atmospheric gothic tale. I enjoyed it very much. La Fanu is a wonderfully descriptive writer. The book is scary, but not too frightening. Excellent.

Worthwhile
Interesting. Short but enjoyable. As a horror-fan I am surprised this went below my radar for so long.

Excited to read
Much smaller than I expected but excited to hop in.

Underrated
This is one of the original tales of early vamparism. It is beautifully written in the usual Gothic style, similar to Frankenstein and Dracula, with an enamoring tale from start to finish.A must-read for Gothic horror lovers.
