Hemline H4160 | Fabric Covered Tailor's Pressing Ham

As I new sewist I learned from the book I read that it is recommended to get a tailor's ham. Haven't heard it before and thought that I could do without until I started making tote bags and sewing a fitted shirt with long sleeves.It looks quite big and heavy in the picture, but it really isn't. Length is just short of 20cm. Weight is less that 0.5 kg and feels sturdy.It is well made and nice and easy to work with and it's a tool that I will be using again and again.Price is cheaper than competitor's one so that's a bonus.

I do a lot of sewing and recently resumed dressmaking. This tailors ham is a really wonderful piece of equipment for pressing all those curved hems you find in making clothes. It is solid, sturdy and versatile. When I opened it first I thought it was a bit small and light. No issues once I have used it. It does the job and I am now kicking myself I didn't buy one years ago!

Quite good, except it's not as padded as my sewing teacher's, so perhaps the quality could be a bit better.

Love this tailor's pressing ham. Enables you to press areas of clothing that's impossible to do just on the ironing board. Brilliant for tucks, darts, cuffs and pleats in dressmaking too. It's traditionally made with sawdust so it keeps it's shape. Worth the money :)

Perfect for curved seams etc. Don't know why I have not had one before. Love it.

This is a saw dust filled pressing ham. No bad odor. Smelled rather fresh, actually. Perfect condition.

Da ich sehr viel mit baumwolle Nähe ist das bügeln ein wichtiger Teil davon. Bisher hab ich es immer mit einem Handtuch gemacht, aber das Ergebnis hat mich nicht so überzeugt. Jetzt ärgere ich mich nur noch darüber das ich es nicht schon früher bestellt habe. Es ist wunderbar fest und damit perfekt für Säume und Kragen zum bügeln. Gerundete Schulternähte gehen plötzlich wunderbar. Ein tolles Teil

Confezionare abiti richiede molto tempo all'asse da stiro e questo cuscino aiuta a modellare dettagli come colli e cuciture sagomate. Lo uso spesso e mi trovo bene.
