Finally found this movie with the actual English dub not just subtitles! Great movie super fun to watch

Great film, had to switch on subtitles so was difficult to follow the plot whilst keeping up with the dialogue

I loved reading these books when I was a kid, I think i nearly read all made !!! Great some of them are now in movie formats. Great memories. And a good film . Good family film but not for everyone's taste.

Simplistic, Stupid, Daft, Wooden acting and actually a Riot, a hoot and bloody hilarious..!! If you want a dumb film and a laugh, this is it.. Suspend belief, a French take on the Carry On movie..

Quite a funny film. A challenge is issued to build a palace within a short space of time and, of course, until Asterix and Obelix become involved with their magic potion to give super powers, there is no real progress. Definitely a film which younger family members can enjoy. We would rather see Depardieu in his more serious roles, but it was still fun to watch. (We used the well-written English subtitles with the French sound track and it was good to compare the differences, especially between the original French names and the ones used in the English subtitles!)

I loved this but I am a great fan of Christian Clavier and Depardieu....Djamel is very good too as is Belucci.....it's fun, lavish.....very much like the comic books which I adore.....not a film for the serious minds but very good for Obelix and Asterix fans. My 18 year old son watched it with me and really enjoyed it :-) it's a lavish production.
