Easy and reliable
For the first time in three years this perfect little timer stopped working! Fortunately, I was smart enough to discover that it was out of batteries. Now it's once again perfect: simple to program and adjust settings with the seasons, leak-proof and absolutely reliable.

Applicable for high-pressure supplies
I like the ease of setup and general robust construction. I purchased this valve solely because of its high-pressure capability. The manual only claims 120PSI, but the Amazon listing claims 180PSI. We reliably have a 125PSI supply, with spikes above 140PSI. So far, no issues. The valve came with a roll of Teflon tape, that I never needed. I've had no leaks at either attachment point, nor in the valve itself. I wish that I'd noticed that a brass version was available, but I've had no issues so far with the plastic version. This is definitely an RTFM device. Many have complained about leaks. The manual clearly outlines how to prevent leaks. (Spoilers: with a new valve, or one that has been stored for any length of time, the user needs to manually operate the valve several times before use.) My personal recommendation: use only lithium AA batteries for this device. Alkaline AA batteries tend to leak. With the new 0% mercury mandates, they leak even more frequently. Normally, the CO2 in the atmosphere will neutralize the potassium hydroxide electrolyte into an inert powder. In the sealed, waterproof environment of this device's battery compartment, the leaked electrolyte will rapidly destroy the device.

Installation Orientation Sensitive Else Works Great
Purchased and installd mid-March 2026. Once product arrived found out via the insutrctions that it is 'must' be installed so display window is upright /perpednicular to the ground. Unfortunately where I needed to iconnect it to the water supply I could not do that, and the display is pretty much parallel to the ground facing up to the sky. My old unit from a different manufacturer worked fine like that for over 2 years. So far the new unit s working as advertised. To protect it better due to a non-recommended orientation, I have covered it with a plastic container to keep the unit out of the rain. If not for the weird orientation restriction, I would have given a 5 star rating.

Well-designed, leak-free, easy-to-install and program
This device has been operating reliably for several weeks and functions exactly as expected. The controls are clear and the screen-text large. Installation does involve an odd twist (but it's not a showstopper): The open-close water valve requires a bit of "exercise" in a new installation. Owners are instructed to turn the valve on and off a few times before leaving the device on its own. This was easy to do, but I see how some owners who don't read the instructions might miss it. And once it's done, it doesn't require repeating until the device is unused for a long time. The irrigation timer is "compact;" indeed, it's smaller than previous ones I've owned. It uses smaller AAA (not AA) batteries, and its battery compartment seems to be better designed to resist water leakage. Because of the smaller size, the control buttons for setting time/date, timing of watering and other functions are smaller than before. One other oddity (also not a showstopper) is that the manual-watering and rain-delay features are invoked with an unusual "long-press plus press-again" on a single button. After learning this routine, I found it works just fine. But the "long-press" control is more familiar on digital devices than on irrigation controllers.
