This hose broke internally after 1 year and 9 months. Original Delta Hose was still good and was 10 Years old replaced it for the extra length. The outside is not metal but plastic chrome.

Works good.

As good if not better than the hose that came with my Moen handheld shower head.

I gave this some time before writing a review. I love the flexibility of this shower hose. It is by far the best I have ever had. I have had no problems with leaking at the point of connection or any other issues with this hose.
