GMAT & GRE Math Made Easy: Understanding Quantitative Reasoning for Math-Phobic Grad School Applicants (Graduate School Test Preparation) Review: MUST READ book for math-phobia! - First, what this book is NOT for: practice problems and detailed explanations about mathematical concepts. There are a zillion books for that. Go use those! What this book IS FOR: People like me who haven’t done math in over a decade but are trying to get into grad school for humanities. This helped me understand math better than I ever remembered understanding it in high school and a big reason is that the author has an encouraging tone that shows MULTIPLE ways forward for each problem. He affirms multiple ways of coming to an answer and encourages the reader to think through things multiple ways so as not to get stuck. He commiserates with the humanities folks who haven’t done math in awhile and points out where the GRE folks are *trying* to trick you. Reading through this book calmed my nerves so that I could go into practice problems with more confidence and resilience to face the tricks of the testmakers. I was incredibly surprised at how my brain loosened up and got into the flow. I didn’t get everything right, but I got MUCH better scores than I ever imagined! HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK to begin your GRE/GMAT prep before going into as many practice problems and practice tests as you can. Review: Skip It for Your Prep - The author definitely seems to know a lot of mathematics. They just lack a way of making it practical. The majority of people preparing for the GRE should spend their time doing actual problems. I found free courses online that benefited me more than this small book. Also, I found it to contain a lot of fluff.

I just realized that this book seems not original one. It seems fake one. There is no way printing quality is like this and also the book glue is so bad. Be aware and double check whether your book is original or fake one.
