Zip ties on steroids
Zip ties can be incredibly useful. I first used them years ago for their traditional use-- bundling wires together. Since then I always make sure I have some around when I need to tie stuff together. Most zip ties one encounters are made from nylon or plastic. That inherently limits their strength. They also can be cut with a half-decent knife. These metal truck seals are in a class of their own for those used to plastic and nylon seals. Extremely strong, they can be used for bundling, closures, and for security sealing.I strongly recommend using good work gloves when working with them. They are also stiffer than nylon or plastic ties to put on -- it helps to use a pliers to the hold the end when you cinch the seal up. Once on, however, this metal seal isn't going to break or loosen. They can be cut with a sharp metal shear.Depending on your application, a bag of 100 of these seals can last a long time. Store them in a dry location, remember where you put them, and use these when a plastic/nylon tie just won't cut it. Their strength is impressive. if you need strong seals like these, there is no substitute. Recommended.

Cheap, Effective, but not for high-value cargo
I have never tried this style of container lock before, but I definitely have opinions to offer. Here's what I like:• It's stamped metal, but they folded over the edges so you don't get cut• The numbers are clean and easy to read• Upon inserting it into the lock, I could not open it by pulling it apart with my hands• It's cheapHere's what I don't like:• It's flimsy• They advertise their name by stamping it on the band• The metal is very thin• The metal bends very easily, so you can orient the band to look like you have inserted it into the lock and locked it, but in fact it is not lockedI'm going to be generous and award this with 3 stars. I'm not impressed, although the product does work. If you trust the people that you are consigning your cargo to and you don't have any concerns that someone is going to break into your cargo, then this is a cheap and effective lock. If you have high-value cargo and you are concerned about security, then why are you looking at this listing?Look at the first photo. One of the bands is actually secured, and one of the bands is not fully inserted and is not secured and pulls apart easily. Can you tell which one is not secure? Can't tell the difference. Look at the second photo for the answer.

These work well for the intended purpose.
I have seen reviews where people thought they could use them as zip ties, which they are not, and they won't work for that. They are also not a lock you can use to secure something. They are easily cut. What they are is a tamper seal. They have a number on them. You fasten them around something it from opening. If someone cuts it you will know the contents have been tampered with since no two numbers are alike. They bend easily but are not flexible like a metal zip tie. After snapping one together, I was unable to get it apart without making it obvious it was tampered with. I tried pulling it apart, and even using two pairs of pliers I couldn't. If you need a tamper seal, these are good.

not what I ex[ected.
I thought these were something like zip-ties, but that is not the case. These are strong security seals that do not adjust.

METAL TIE STRAPS
These stainless steel security straps have many uses. They make good tie straps so you can use them pretty much any place you would use a nylon tie strap. The stainless will last for years serving its purpose. If you must you can always use them for their initial purpose as security straps to insure no one has gotten into... say your luggage or lockbox.

Cool, but
I like these, they're heavy duty that's for sure. But they do not pull tight like you would expect from normal zip ties. Instead they lock at the tip once you first go to tighten and that's as much as it "zip-ties" but it is still a really heavy duty option and they are useful in a handful of situations. I wish they fastened down like normal zip ties but still cool product worth trying
