I’m not very handy with things- but found this beach umbrella very easy to set up in the sand since it has a twisty design at the bottom of pole and a metal bar to help you rotate/twist it deep enough in the sand (plus there is a little marker on the bottom of pole that lets you know how far to twist it down to be safe from blowing away). It stayed put for the 5 hrs we were on the beach with moderate winds. So far, so good- plus I scored it when it was on sale for only $30 something bucks!

It was very lightweight to carry, easy to set up and anchor, and provided shade on the bright beach.

The underside lining is coming off in a few places. I contacted the company and they made a satisfactory adjustment. Top pulled out of bottom pole on a windy beach day when top section was only inserted to cross bar. Removing cross bar and inserting top lower seemed to solve the problem.

So lightweight and easy to set up. I’m a 69 year old woman who still loves the beach and this has been perfect for me. Noticed several umbrellas blow down but mine has held sturdy every time. Highly recommend.

Pros:- easy to set up- comes with a carrying bag- blocks the sun (does its job)- lightweightCons:- screw for anchoring into the sand has pretty small teeth compared to more expensive umbrellas. The coastal winds blew it out of the sand so we had to re-anchor a few times. Not a deal breaker though.- plastic parts may break or warp long term.
