It does what it says.
My mum has mobility issues, and finds it necessary to rest after walking a ways.Having knowledge of single pole "shooting sticks" seats I figured someone might have invented a more stable version and a quick search revealed indeed they had.I chose this model because it had the height adjustable feature, as a seat that was too low especially would pose challenging to a person with weaker legs. The stick is light-weight, comparable to the heavier medical grade cane my mum has. It is slightly more awkward to manoeuvre because it is wider, and stow for the same reason, but she has no issue walking with it, using it as one would a cane.In terms of comfort Mum said the seat is hard, which is the reason I have given this a four star score. In fairness a plastic seat is what it is, and the benefits of being water proof, compact and light weight mean a degree of compromise. In terms of stability the seat is good with the tripod functioning well on hard surfaces.

Sturdy and folds up nicely
Can be stored easily and used as a walking stick. Used for when attending outdoor events such as concerts so that I can sit and rest my legs.

Uncomfortable stick seat
I found the stick rather long and would only fit me on the smallest height as a stick. Im 5'7", so it would be no good for shorter people. The seat is fine, although you need some balance and dexterity to straddle it. No good if you're wearing a skirt, or have balance problems. I was hoping to be able to perch sideways on it, but ths instructions say you have to sit astride it for safety.I found the hard, ridged handle very uncomfortable. Instead of being easy to hold, the finger bumps aggravated my finger joints. A smooth handle would be far better, since it has to move in your hand a little as you swing it to walk and this was actually painful. No good for anyone with joint issues in their fingers.I might return this, although the price is good and it is fairly sturdy. Maybe I could wrap the handle and always wear trousers when I go out???? We'll see.

Sitting on seat
The product is of a good quality and compact. The seat is very good. My husband can sit down on it but unfortunately cannot get off it without help which makes it unusable for him.

Absolutely best item I have bought
I would give this 11 out of 10. Bought this as went to Chester zoo on the 28th August, I normally use a stick, I decided to buy this as I need my grandson would be taking his time by a lot of the animal enclosures and had to stay by him, but I can't stand for too long, this was perfect, it took my weight as I am a big lady, it's comfy to sit on, it's easy to unclip, and fold back together, and I find it better to walk with them a walking stick....I am 5"1 I would highly recommend this

It is easy to use
It is relatively lightweight. If you don't need to use is as a walking stick you can carry it horizontally as it balances well.If you use it as a walking stick, you will almost certainly need to use a different setting for walking and sitting. I'm 5 ft 7 in - for walking I need it to be on the next to lowest setting, for sitting I need the highest setting. The height adjustment is quick and easy. For best stability you need to sit with the handle in front. You also need the handle in front to push yourself up. You can sit the other way round but it is less comfortable. For me 15 minutes was the longest I could sit comfortably, which is more than sufficient for rests.
