Sesame Street 40 years of sunny days dvds
I played this for the children. One age 3 advanced for his age and 1 aged 1 little girl. My son loves the cooky monster in the early episodes.I found myself remembering the tunes. My little girl loved the musical sessions! I found myself unexpectidly enjoying myself! Remembering when i was once little. Nice memorys. You can also play seperate seasons which is good as it shows you clips so as you know what can be viewd. The second dvd is more up to date clothing of the cast changes from the 60,ys? And modern singers join in. Then it take you up to the moddern Birt and Earny.Which I think are absolutly brill! Ye big kid I know! Takes some time to play them all. Brill value for money! I will be putting them on again!

beautifully crafted viewing! highly recommended!
I bought this for my 3 year old and was looking forward to the nostalgia too if I'm honest. It hasn't disappointed at all!! all the clips are great and varied; learning about emotions, counting, alphabet, singing, slapstick, rhyming, community spirit.. its absolutely packed with so many unexpected delights, lots of catchy tunes.. Kermit, Bert and Ernie, Elmo, Big Bird, cookie monster. Admittedly it took a couple of views before my son truly got into it, but now he loves it. In fact it's such a shame there is nothing quite of its standard in today's tv. The only small point is my son has now learned the alphabet the old fashioned way instead of the now taught 'phonetics', but i'm sure it wont be a big problem. Sesame Street is an absolute crafted treasure and one of the few things that we can both sit down and enjoy. Genius. Highly recommended!

Memories are made of this!
Purchased for my grand-daughter (honestly!!)My own children were brought up watching Sesame Street and today's children's programmes do not come even close to the educational aspect of these shows.Yes there are a lot of clips as opposed to actual programmes, but we all watched over Christmas with enjoyment and my grand-daughter absolutely loves it.

Sesame Street - Many Sunny Days
My 3-year old loves this DVD and would rather watch it than TV. I bought it for nostalgia reasons and because I felt the standard of the programme is better that a lot of stuff on kids TV now. I do end up re-playing the Ladybug Song several times for my son and the David Beckham and Elmo clip for me!

very contagious
My four-year-old son has a very short attention span when it comes to cartoons and similar things. This dvd is not only educational and fun, it is also contagious. he can sit and watch for half an hour straight. I often find myself singing "C is for cookie" or "Elmo's song" together with my son.Felicia form Croatia

I was born in '69 and enjoy the reminiscing
I was born in '69 and enjoy the reminiscing. My two-year-old now is laughing to cookie monster, Ernie's banana in his ear... And he's counting with the show and trying to get the alphabet. Don't hesitate. Sesame Street was and IS still lovely.

Going down memory street!
I loved Sesame Street whilst growing up and still do! I wanted to share my fondest memories with my 2 year old and this did exactly that! She loves Cookie monster like I did, and sings along with the kids and monsters!!! It the best DVD I have bought for her.

Sesame Street DVDs
Oh, how this took me back to the late 70's early 80's of watching this on TV, it's a shame it still is not shown on TV, my 6yr old and 4yr have watched this and enjoyed it. Great for getting the kids counting and learning their ABC.
