Keeps my handy little guy busy! My son is two and always wants to be 'fixing' this gives him appropriate things to put together and take apart over and over. Very durable so far and the drill although not powerful for safety reasons is fully functional and frustration free.

I like that our grandson was thrilled to receive this gift for his 5th birthday, but then, I knew he was going to like it because he plays with my set of Design and Drill everytime he comes to our house for a visit. Now he has his very own set, but it's different from mine so he'll still have an interest in the one we have when he comes to stay over. He wanted to play with it immediately but had other gifts to open, but I know he's going to have lots of fun with it because the set we have occupies him for long periods of time. He is just SO into drilling and using that little toy! LOL So, yes I would definitely purchase this Educational Insights Design and Drill Gears Workshop 55 pieces and would recommend it for any child at all. It's just one of those great toys every child should experience! The only problem would be if there is a younger sibling in the house that likes to put things in their mouth because the little pieces would not be good for that and would definitely need to be kept up and watched carefully by an adult if a small child was anywhere about. Just sayin. But we've been able to manage it for about a little over a year now when they were one and three.

I need to help my 3 year old grandson to start the bolts in straight. But he loves it!

I got this for my 2.5 year old as she likes toys that use fine motor skills. This was an excellent choice. She doesn’t care much for the templates, but she loves using the power drill and screwing and unscrewing the bolts and cogs by hand. The quality is good as it doesn’t feel super cheap. I really like that it comes in a box where everything can be stored together.
