Hamilton Beach Works with Alexa Smart Coffee Maker, Programmable, 12 Cup Capacity, Black and Stainless Steel (49350R)

This coffee pot is amazing. I purchased it because it works with Alexa. It was very quick and easy to set up. Connecting to wi-fi was a breeze, and it integrated easily into my smart home ecosystem. Some reviewers stated that they didn't like having to press the ready-to-brew button for it to work with Alexa. Once you have it prepped, you must press the ready-to-brew button to arm it for Alexa. I can kinda see their point. You could just set a timer for the pot to turn on in the morning. But for me, that wouldn't work. If you set a timer, the pot would come on at an exact time. There is no flexibility if you want to sleep in. I think it's great to simply be able to get up when I want to, and say, "Alexa, turn on the coffee pot." Another great thing about that ready-to-brew button is that it keeps me from accidentally starting an empty pot. I have, on occasion, forgotten to get the coffee pot ready the night before. Then, when I asked Alexa to start the coffee pot, she would not. So I love the idea of the ready-to-brew button. As far as the coffee, it makes the best cup of coffee I could ask for. I also like the fact that you can select the bold setting and use less coffee. The time it takes to brew a pot of coffee is about average, I would say. I would definitely recommend you purchase this coffee pot. Especially if you have a smart home set up as I do. I would give it 10 stars if I could. Definitely a great buy!

A good looking, making great coffee machine. The convenience of pouring water on the front of the machine and adding coffee to the swivel basket makes it the best for me. The coffee it makes tastes softer and better than the ones i had before. The carafe keeps the moisture tightly inside so there is not coffee burnout over time. It is quiet and does not emit hot vapors when it is working. 100% recommend. Bought the more expensive Alexa version primarily for the looks. It does work with Alexa well, but not a big deal for me. However, when you connect it to your wifi the clock shows correct time automatically. Never set the time again.

We had been eyeing this machine for a while now. We’ve been growing out Smart Home collection, selectively, for a few years. We have an Atomi Smart coffee maker with a burr grinder, but the grinder crapped out on us and the added warranty I got in that was not honored by Amazon. That gripe is neither here nor there, as we decided to downsize from the grinder to a traditional drip machine to limit complications. With that in mind we were thrilled to see that there was a Smart Coffee Maker from a *reputable* big name company, Hamilton Beach, a brand that I grew up with in my parents home. They had the same appliances from HB for literally a decade or more and those were only replaced when they needed something larger or something else. So it arrived last Saturday and we read the instructions and got it set up on a perfectly level glass surface (in the exact same location as the Atomi sat for its entire time with us). Got it connected to Alexa and set the timer. Before we went to bed, I added the coffee, filled it up with water and was off to bed. 5:30 AM arrived and I was PUMPED to drink my coffee. I stepped in to the dark kitchen, grabbed my cup, added the cream and then stepped towards the machine… into a puddle of water. It leaked, all 12 cups, three feet across the floor. I chalked it up to not being level. My bad, I thought, it’s brand new. Growing pains. I moved it to our kitchen table (large flat and level surface) filled it with water again and hit start. Coffee was great! No leaking. We left it on the table because it worked Sunday morning after the first nights hiccup. That evening, we got it set up again, set a timer on my phone for 20 minutes and checked to make sure it wasn’t leaking - all was good. Went to bed. Next morning arrived and wouldn’t you know it, my kitchen was once again flooded. But the damage, the literal damage, was far worse. This time the water pooled under the machine and warped the tip of the table beyond repair (see the bright line warping on the near side in the photo), leaked down on/in our cats cardboard hut (also bought on Amazon) and destroyed that too. All I wanted was coffee. I am enraged. It is one thing for a product to not work. It’s another entirely when that product renders other items in its vicinity inoperable too. Do not buy this product. I warn you, do not.

The first 1I bought I have to say the product was good for ten months. After that, it just stopped working. No lights didn't turn on so I had to buy anyone.

Súper fácil de usar ya sea manual o con Alexa. Es la mejor cafetera que he tenido. Una gran ventaja es que el depósito de agua es fijo y agregarla es muy práctico. Un poco complicado el agregar al skin de Alexa pero al final lo logré !!!

NÃO FUNCIONA COM ALEXA NO BRASIL. NÃO EXISTE A OPÇÃO HAMILTON BEACH AQUI. SÓ ATOMI. NÃO COMPREM!!!!
