New from Parker comes the 97R heavyweight double edge safety razor. The 97R differs from other Parker safety razors as it has a shorter, more traditional length handle. The short, heavyweight handle is made from nickel plated brass and has an engraved criss-cross design which provides an excellent grip, even with wet hands. An added feature of the handle is the groove near the base which allows the finger to sit naturally in it, giving a nice feel and balance to the razor when shaving. Really good shorter handled razor.
Can't fault this razor. Great weight and grip on the handle. Bit more aggressive than my Edwin Jagger and Merkur but nothing to worry about. Gives me a nice clean shave with no nicks. Particularly like the shorter handle. More manoverable for me and same length as the original razors from years ago.

Great razor -a huge upgrade from my cheap plastic handled safety razor and the difference is remarkable, even with the same blades. Love the look, love the feel and love the results. I would recommend this razor.

The razor arrived within a couple days of placing the order.Well packed in its own cardboard box inside a jiffy bag.Nice chrome finish, well made and weighty.Razors are obviously a personal choice, but consider this one.Has a traditional, vintage look to it, in my opinion.

LOVE IT
I was little worried about using this but I was determined to stop using PLASTIC. I love this razor, easy to use and change blades. I never cut myself and with blades being so cheap Its no brainer to stop buying disposables.
