Fablon FAB10281 67.5 cm x 2 m Roll Semi-Opaque Self Adhesive Window Film, White

The plastic film on the glass bathroom window of our motor home had degraded, shrunk and cracked. It was not fit for purpose. So I removed it. I replaced it with this product. It was easy to fit and it looks really good from inside and out, and let’s in lots of light. I wish I’d done it as sooner.

For those of us who remeber "Blue Peter's" "stick backed plastic" Fablon will need no introduction. It does the job. This one is translucent and was used to obscure the glass in an internal window. It went on well and is a lot cheaoer than the alternatives. I've used other designs on other inernal windows and they are still doing the job about a decade later.

Loads and easy to install

I have used windows films before without problem - plenty of water sprayed on first, cut it to size and get it in position, use something like a credit card to then squeeze out all of the bubbles and get a good flat finish. I did all of that and it looked great - but once the water had all dried I found the finish wasn't as good as I had thought. I now have some unsightly white bubbles behind the film that I can't see to remove. I will try 'popping' them carefully, but I really shouldn't have needed to.

This was absolutely shocking, I read the reviews and trusted that if I left the finished product in place for long enough the bubbles and marks (extensive) would come out. They didn't, just a very slight improvement over about 6 weeks, but still looks absolutely awful. To make it worse, I won't be able to have a refund as the return window closed while I was waiting for the suggestions of the other reviewers to just leave it for a month or so and it would resolve. It didn't. Extremely disappointed from such a well known company. If I could give it 0 stars I would, as it's ruined the window as well.

Good quality but make sure you take your time to apply, have an extra pair of hand to help especially to get the air bubbles out as you go along and ensure you cut extra to trim off when you finish. The end result was surprisingly good.
