Easy to use and very effective
We use this to open soda and water bottles and find if effective. But my favorite thing about it is the ease of the tip to open tab-top vegetable cans. With arthritic hands and fingers, this thing does the job all around. I've tried other products, but this is the one I reach for first.

Looks and feels nice but not good for large lids
I received this bottle and jar opener and was excited because I do have some minor arthritis in both of my hands. Opening jars is somewhat difficult for me. I used to have the type with the band but seems to have been misplaced.I love pickles and those jars are usually very wide and difficult for me to get a good grip on them. Sadly, this device does not fit very well on the largest section. As you can see in my photos, I can not get my kind small-medium (standard) sized male hands on both of the handles; besides it doesn't fit very well on the lid. Even though the middle or next size down makes it easier for my hands to hold the handles it doesn't fit very well. The good thing is; even though it does not fit well, the rubber/plastic of the opener grips the lid very decently. See the photos and you can see how it grips. The picture of the pickle jar being gripped on the middle section from the top view actually has the jar being held just a small amount off the counter. It seems to have a good grip and may be able to help open a new jar though I have not tested it yet.I also tested this opener on a jar of jelly/jam/preserve. This is a standard size jar of jelly/jam/preserve and it grips very nicely and works very well.Overall, this jar opener does very good on smaller bottles and jars but the large types such as my pickles, peanut butter and other large jars that I also need assistance with, this device is not good for them.I have not tested the small bottle opener yet. As the only bottles that still require the type of bottle opener is foreign beer types, I am not able to drink beer while taking very strong muscle and nerve medicines. Other bottles like my wife's chilli sauce or other small bottles can be tested later when she has a new bottle. I did not take any photos because I did use a paper towel to see how it felt. It appears to be ok and should grip to assist in opening. The rubber like material grips very tight and does not appear to slip while on the lid. These sauces are about the same size as the glass bottles of ketchup. The big opener makes it worth the cost only if you are opening the smaller jars. The small bottle opener appears to be ok but as you can see in the last photo, I do not know if opening a beer bottle or other bottle needing that style will be good or not. I will update this review when I am able to have the need for that style of opener.I dropped 1 star because I needed this opener to assist with large jars but this opener will not fit these jars. Otherwise, this is a good looking and very nice jar and bottle opener set.

Doesn’t work for all jars
The very first thing I tried to open using this product (Raos marinara & palm hearts) it didn’t work. The jar needs to be very specific in order for this to work properly. Just be mindful of what jars you typically need opened before purchasing.

Don't waste your money...
It may work fine for small lids, like a bottle of pop. Normal lids, forget it. Unless you have massive hands you'll never be able to grip them. I tossed it out already.
