Rosario + Vampire: The Complete Series

This was a totally unexpected and great buy for me. I have been keeping tabs on the Rosario DVDs for quite some time, and they have never really been a price that I felt justified in spending on DVDs. Having not only the DVDs as well as the Blurays at this price point made it a no brainer for me to order this set. I have had this since release and I have enjoyed my time revisiting this series. As far as the series goes, more likely than not, you know what you are getting by ordering this show. This was my gateway into the world of anime and I love it. It is not for everyone, especially if you are easily offended by notions of harem animes and tropey fan-service. If, however, you are into that sort of entertainment, then this show may be right up your alley. I have seen shows that up the ante in terms of fan-service or the monster action, but this show gets it just right. It is still over the top, but there are much more extreme examples of this genre out there that do not accomplish what this show does. A lot of people will inevitably say that the manga is better. Having read the manga, I can kind of concede this to be true, but to be quite honest, I consider both mediums to tell uniquely different stories with a lot of overlap especially toward the beginnings of both the manga and the anime. The manga gets significantly more serious in in its second season while the anime starts lighthearted and remains that way till the end. You come away with different outcomes from both mediums which is why I consider them to be uniquely different from one another. Great show if you are looking to put your mind on autopilot and be entertained.

- I bought this version used, as a public library used copy. I have to say that this is the best library copy I have ever seen and for the price it was completely worth it. The blu ray disks barley looked used, thr dvd versions are a little rough, but they play just fine and the blu ray is superior anyways. I even the outer case is it pretty good shape. There's 1 hole in it and it's pretty faded, but for a library owned copy I expected worse.- The show is what it is. It's the better quality version than the new "classics" version.

Oddly compelling harem anime has Tskune inadvertently attending a high school for monsters in human form, he collects main squeeze Moka the vampire, buxom succubus and personal favorite Kurumu, tween witch Yukari, and ice maiden stalker, Mizore. They all endeavor to gain his attention and be his true love through their adventures keeping him safe in the school. Picture quality pretty good on the BD.

It is one of my favorite anime’s. I am happy to have it now just in case it’s not available anywhere else. It stays true, no shortcuts, no editing! All original.

Is a very favorite series. Got it at a great price. Will be looking to keep an eye out for on other stuff the seller might have.

Sometimes you just want to see a lot of panties. If that's the case, this anime will fill the bill. Fan service aside, does this anime stand on its own as a story and set of characters worth watching? The DVD/Blue-ray set includes two seasons of 13 episodes each. The English versions are very well done. Initially, the series is kind of slow, since it's just introducing new love interests for the main male character. But the plot picks up near the end of each season. Have to admit that I caught myself saying "This is stupid" in some spots, particularly when faced with the main male character's annoying naivete to the female characters' romantic advances (I think this is a common theme in Japanese anime). Beyond the male lead, the female characters are generally interesting-- I particularly liked the witch Ruby and the snow fairy Mizore (she's so droll). In summary, this is not a "great" anime but it was definitely fun to watch. And... all those panties!In reality, while there are a lot of panty shots, this anime is really mild-- there's a little nudity, breast squeezing, and suggestive dialog, but no overt sexual activity. The fights are quick and relatively bloodless, which is nice. While there's a lot of rivalry among the female characters for the attention of the lead male, the main theme of the anime is friendship, which it does a good job of expressing.

Just as it said: Seasons 1 and 2, dubbed in English. Haven't exploredthe rest of the stuff on the discs. Also, Season 2 is NOT censored like the bootlegs found online, so no bats covering panty shots.

Unrated and it makes a huge difference. Was iffy on whether or not to buy this, bought it because I have more money than sense, so surprised by the content, it's different enough from what's on Funimation.com that I am super stoked with my purchase.

Had the dvd version of this anime.Good anime. Very miner changes.The box set that I got is not like the one in this photo.The Blu-ray not that bad, still good.But wish they continued this series
