IYV 6 String IVS-300, Right, Cherry Red

This is a stellar value for an SG copy. The finish was very well done, a few expected minor finish flaws but otherwise beautiful. Setup was playable out of the box. It needed the truss rod tightened a bit and action lowered and only one saddle required intonation. The neck has excellent playability, it's solid, properly leveled and with reasonably smooth fret ends. The pickups have ALNICO magnets, they're a little dark but have great tone. The tuning heads are marginal at best but stay in tune.This is an excellent beginner or player grade instrument, and gets you 95% of the way to one of the originals, you could buy a dozen of these for the price of one Gibson

This is my third IYV guitar. These guitars provide incredible value, if you are willing to put some effort into them. I bought this one to mod. The tuners weren’t too bad, but I replaced them with some Gotoh. I know a lot of IYV fans enjoy the stock pups, I do not. I replaced them with some cheap Fleor alnico 2, and to my ears they sound awesome. There were several high frets, I leveled, crowned and polished all of the frets, replaced the strings, and set the guitar up to my liking. This sub $200 guitar now plays and sounds like a $1000 instrument.As far as the cosmetic, I replaced the volume and tone knobs with lampshade style, they look awesome.This one weighs a bit more than an SG. Does have some neck dive, but hey, that’s expected with this style.The finish on this is perfect, my other IYV guitars have slight blemishes, not this one.I will add that I had to exchange the first one they sent, the fretboard was a mess, there were gaps between the inlays and the fingerboard. The strange thing is the IYV logo was different on that one as well. I’m not sure if it was old stock or what.

Don't be afraid to order any of these IYV guitars on Amazon. That is when you can find them available. I now own 5 of them along with various other high end brand name guitars, and I love these IYV's. They need some love out of the box. Immediately strings, and truss rod / neck adjustment. Then take it from there depending on the guitar. As far as bang for the buck? It's just insane.

I'm stunned... box was opened, very little tape to secure. Cover was pulled back, bottom section of box was broken in half and the headstock was partially sticking out! Lol, and the guitar is unscratched, unblemished, and unbelievably beautiful! It plays like a dream, and sounds like magic and the neck is smooth as butter. I am astonished it made the trip in one piece! Lucky me, this guitar is fantastic!

This thing rips right out of the box. Crazy good for the money. The only adjustment mine needed was to raise the pickup height just a bit. Can hang with an Epiphone any day of the week. Planning to pick up more IYV's soon.

Nice guitar, some minor finish blemishes. Great looking, great feeling, and great playing. Frets were done nicely and smooth. The pickups as are fine. Electronics could be upgraded, but for a beginner or a tinkerer this is a great platform.

Great guitar from a great company

I must have got lucky on this one because there was no flaws on it. Most of my IYV's always came with minor flaws. I love the offset SG style. It feels great to play. Volume and tone set of like a real SG but it's okay I can manage with this for now. I would definitely take this over in Epiphone or a Chibson. Sorry I recorded this off my phone. That's all I have. I used a five watt mono pricing in the one watt position. No pedals were used. Just the cordless joyo cable. I would definitely recommend this guitar.
