The eKO Superlite Travel Mat is ideal for anyone on the go. 1.5mm thick to fold + go for ultimate portability. 99% latex free and made with no PVC, toxic plasticizers or harmful dyes. To store, roll Manduka eKO mats with the top side facing outwards. This keeps the corners of the mat flat when practicing. The surface texture of Manduka mats improves with use. The best way to break in your mat is practice, practice, practice.

Perfect Travel Mat
I purchased this mat for a two-week international trip to do yoga in my hotel room. I wanted something that was able to fit into a checked bag, wouldn't bunch during use and provided a good grip. This mat was a perfect fit for a 25" checked bag so that I was able to loosely lay it on top without having to make any creases and the weight was minimal. The mat quality was top notch and the rubber texture provided excellent grip. I don't have particularly sensitive knees, so the 1.5mm cushion was sufficient on both carpet and harder floor surfaces. At home I use a Lululemon Reversible Mat which provides 5mm of cushion and has an open-cell surface that absorbs moisture, whereas the Manduka is 1.5mm and has a closed-cell surface to prevent moisture from being absorbed. Even with the mat being closed-cell I never experienced any issues with slipping, though I can see it being problematic if you sweat a lot or if you're doing hot yoga. The closed-cell construction is similar to the Manduka Pro and ProLite, so if you've used those mats you know what to expect and likely have a towel handy for hot yoga. I suspect most of the negative reviews about slipping are from people who are unfamiliar with Manduka mats. The most direct competitor to this mat would be the Jade Voyager which sells at a similar price point and is also 1.5mm; however it's a full 3 inches shorter (68" vs 71"). Being on the taller side, I dislike practicing on shorter mats so the Manduka won out in that aspect. Additionally I was able to see a Voyager at a local retailer and didn't feel like the build quality was as good as the Manduka. Other options include the Manduka Pro Travel Mat 2.5mm (~$75) and the Jade Travel Yoga Mat 3mm (~$70). These mats offer additional padding if you need a mat that's softer on your knees; however they also weight more (2.4lbs and 3lbs respectively). Overall, I think the Manduka EKO Superlite finds the perfect balance for size, weight, and grip for anyone looking to bring their yoga practice with them on their travels.

Good Matt for yoga
Is a good material but the only downside of it is the extremely rubber odor. Light weight. It does the job

My favorite mat
My favorite yoga mat. Ultra thin. Doesn’t slide. Feels good. I love it

Smelly Travel Mat
I purchased this as an alternative mat that is a little more portable than my Lululemon mat. Also a mat that could be used outdoors. The odor from this mat is so overwhelming that it becomes a distraction in my yoga practice. I am not overly sensitive to smells, but this is bad, especially when you have to do Child’s Pose or poses where your face is down. I am hoping it will air out over time. I have only used this mat twice and both times on a carpeted surface and I am constantly having to straighten the mat out…..also another distraction during your time on the mat.

Perfect for travelling!
Bought this mat so that I can practice anywhere I travel... and it works perfectly. I keep reading about the smell of the mat being an issue and, frankly, if the smell is what you have to worry about during a yoga session, then you are blessed. I tend to have all kinds of other distractions like loud sounds, people, and small spaces... but hey, live your life. What I love about this mat is that it is foldable and fits in most carry-ons. AND you can unfold it and any creases disappear during use and can be eliminated with a quick roll-up. Which it does easily. It is stickier than my other mat (by Gaiam) and I can easily grip the mat and do everything I do on my regular mat.I find that it works best on hard floors. The grip on carpeting or towels does not work as well. I used it on a carpet and it kept sliding, so I moved to a brick floor and it worked wonderfully. That being said, if you need cushioning in your mat, this is not it. This is thin! Which is why I like it. I do have some sensitivity in my knees, but after a few uses of the mat, I hardly noticed it.

At last! I've found my travel mat!
I tried MANY before this in hunt for the perfect travel mat. Believe me i didn't want to pay for this ha.. Every foldable mat was too thick, too cheap, too stinky, or too slippery.I sucked it up and finally bought this. From the moment I unwrapped it I understood; you get what you pay for. While the mat is thin for travel purposes, it's durable. Incredibly so. It can roll or fold. Can be wiped. Not sticky with proper care. Smells like rubber but not a toxic smell. Feels very grounded to flow on, unlike the other foldables. Fits nicely folded in my travel bag but I roll it when at home. When it unfolds the creases don't last. The color is nice, blends in with surroundings, not too obnoxious. This is a thin mat. Any thick ones (of quality) are a kilo heavier. I add a towel or blanket to my practice, always, and place it at my knees for lunges. Because of this it's no problem. Without padding it would be painful for me.I have the purple though if the Navy were in stock I'd have bought it!

Practical.
Anyone who expressed dislike towards this mat must not practice enough to understand how useful it is. I did dock one star for comfort because I don't encourage using it as a standalone mat unless the studio you attend has sufficiently cushioned flooring. It may also serve well the frugal folks when layered with another mat if you're looking to step up your home practice. Ultimately, if you're looking for an all purpose everyday mat, I'd suggest you fork out just a few more bucks and get a thicker manduka. They grip well and last forever. But this is a great addition to anyone's collection. Also, I have a packing trip planned for next year and this mat is coming with me for yoga in the southern sixers. I can hardly wait.

a piece of rubber for 40GBP
I really laughed when I received a desired light weight travel mat... how far we stepped forward that a piece of rubber 180x60x0.9 cost 40GBP and people want it and I am not an exception :)))1) light enough for rubber2) hands/feet do not slip3) you can smell the rubber but it is not strong and will not kill you4) very thin therefore easily frowns5) not a proper mat but just a temp replacement if you travel with hand luggage and want to have own mat when away from home6) watch your knees when nothing underneath7) not for use on the beach full of sand8) ok on the carpet or on another mat9) think why do you need it and do you really want to spend extra £40 if you have a yoga mat already10) glad to have it but it is not what i was expected11) If you have extra 40GBP buy it but if you financial unstable i suggest you think whether you really need it12) easy to leave marks from foot and hands

It's not actually much lighter than my other thicker non travel mat but I've enjoyed practicing on this in hotel rooms while on a ...
There's a strong rubber smell that is perhaps fading after a month and many washes. But it's solid, it's extremely portable, it's foldable, and very thin. It's not actually much lighter than my other thicker non travel mat but I've enjoyed practicing on this in hotel rooms while on a business trip. (P.S. Also makes a good picnic mat thanks to washability and portability and the fact that it won't let the damp through)

Genuine Manduka Travel Mat
The trusted Manduka quality is apparent with this Travel mat, folds easy to fit into a suitcase and hardly weighs anything. Feels great under the feet. The feet do not move at all. The color Acai is beautiful. I must say I put it on top of a pice of foam but would use it on its own, not a problem,

High Quality Yoga Mat
I liked my Manduka mat so much, I bought this one for my Wife.Thin, so you can feel the ground. If you like a Yoga mat with a lot of cushioning (I don’t, personally), this is not the mat for you. I find that thin mats make it easier to balance.Because of the natural material it’s made from, when I lay it out, it doesn’t curl up at the ends.Very good grip from the rubber.

It is thin but I'm still comfortable with using it on its own
I always find myself slipping in some of the core postures especially the mountain, downward dog and warrior poses where my feet and hands just refuse to stay put, and although I have been through several mats to counteract this, they haven't quite met my expectations on the non-slip quality. Since buying this may though, I've been able to hold my postures well and feel the full benefits of them. It is thin but I'm still comfortable with using it on its own, but usually I just lay it over another mat to offer a little bit more cushioning. And it rolls up really tightly so it doesn't take too much space in my bag. I highly recommend this mat, it's been the best purchase, and I can finally rest in my downward dog and enjoy it.
