Yes, it's filled with stunning photographs of gorgeous men, naked men. Freeman has a knack for finding gorgeous men who look like everyday men and with every new book he manages to unearth new faces (and bodies) that never disappoint and give the book a fresh look. But that's not all. Paul Freeman is, and has always been at least for me, a true wonder. His books, one after the other (and I own 10 of them), are living proof that the male nude can also be an art form. Moreover, and more importantly, Paul Freeman gives the male nude a sense of dignity and beauty, something lacking in today's culture. Gay mainstream culture is all about chiseled groomed physiques, models of unattainable perfection. And the straight mainstream culture considers the nude male body a hostile visual aggression, the dangling penis an offense. That's why, in my opinion at least, Paul Freeman's work is so important and unique. The male genitals are there staring at your face in all their natural beauty, without asking for permission. Now and then I catch myself thinking how a book like Larrikin Yakka could exist. But it does and the world is a better place because of that. Review: Fantastic new work from Paul Freeman - Freeman is doing amazing work in male photography and Larrikin Yakka is fine addition to his already impressive collection. His technical aptitude is vibrantly on display here, and all his models are stunning, but he brings so much more to the viewers' experience than technique and good looks. I love how he uses light and shadow in various ways to evoke different moods. And the world that Freeman captures is as important to the stories he tells as the men themselves. You can almost smell and feel and hear the natural world his subjects inhabit, and their sense of ease and comfort in that world is palpable. For me, it is this aspect of Freeman's artistry that sets him apart from other photographers who are doing great work in a studio (more studied) context. His men are desirable AND accessible at the same time; this is awfully easy to say but very difficult for a photographer to achieve, and Freeman does it brilliantly.

Gritty, masculine masterpiece!
Paul's books are a treat! I might sound repetitive, but showcasing these handsome men au naturel out in nature enhances how attractive they are. It's a relaxed and intimate series of sexy photos. I'm sure you'll start over right after you get to the end.

A stunning sequel
A stunning sequel to Larrikin - with macho alpha dudes "doing what they know best", to quote an ancient airlines ad jingle. The book begins coyily with partial deshabilles, like a prelude for bigger things to come. And come they did: a full frontal by a relaxed, "been here before" macho! The volume continues with full frontal cornucopia, culminating on p 165. But ther is a discreet charm of understated undercurrent: the naked dudes are being crowded into what appears to be a movable showe van. The rest is silence. Will their bathing be fun? Or will result in Larrikin 3: swimming and showering at Curawoong Creek? ;.

but beautifully composed photos
Stunning portrayal of the male figure; homoerotic in some ways, uber-masculine in others; arousing, but beautifully composed photos, and a plethora of perspectives, imagery, and well used light. Exceptional.

Another great addition to Paul Freeman's repertoire
Always exquisite photo books.... So many hairy and handsome men....both this and Larrikin are fantastic additions to my library... I've been looking forward to new work from this photographer!

Once again Paul shows us why he is the best in his craft. The book has plenty of exquisite and well conceived piece of art. The lighting, the feeling that transpired in the images is just amazing. Another great collection of excellent images. The models are stunning. Congratulations!

Outstanding photography!
This was an excellent book. It was well constructed and the photography was world class. This book made a very nice holiday gift.

... an inch of their lives there's a lot to love in this book
If you're into good-looking Tom of Finland style guys who aren't buffed and polished to within an inch of their lives there's a lot to love in this book. There are a few niggles, some of the poses are laugh-out-loud contrived, the retouching is occasionally a little obvious, and it's never a good idea to flip a photo if the model's tattoos spell words!!
