This unit is perfect for my digital storage. 6 bays for HDD and two bays for SSDs. 2.5gbps network adapters make it fast across my home network. Running qnap container station allows for numerous network utilities such as pihole to keep my home network free of ads. Make sure to have it hooked up to a UPS to protect it from any spikes/outage in the power. This will help protect the device and the data.

I recently acquired the QNAP TS-364-US, and I must say it has exceeded my expectations in terms of both performance and flexibility. One notable feature that caught my attention is the manufacturer's recommendation for a maximum of 16GB RAM. However, I decided to push the boundaries a bit and upgraded it to a whopping 64GB RAM, and to my delight, the TS-364-US handled it with ease, showcasing its remarkable scalability. Memory Upgrade: The official recommendation of 16GB didn't deter me, and I opted for a 64GB RAM upgrade. The TS-364-US proved its resilience by seamlessly accommodating the increased memory, contributing to an enhanced multitasking capability and overall system responsiveness. Storage Configuration: For storage, I opted to take advantage of the unit's flexibility and expanded it to meet my specific needs. I upgraded to 2 x M.2 2TB each (cache R/W), providing lightning-fast data access, and supplemented this with 3 HDDs, each boasting an impressive 20TB capacity and coupled with ZFS. The combination of SSDs and HDDs allows for efficient data management and rapid access to frequently used files. I'm not a fan of this NAS. I bought it to back up my pictures, but it's been challenging to sync it with my computer folders. I have to admit, I'm disappointed with the experience.
