When were these batteries manufactured to determine shelf life, also is the shelf life 5 or 10 years the ad states both, which is it?

Different battery has different shelf life,this one is 10 years.Hope the answer could help you.

Is this battery interchangeable with a E90 battery?

I have only used N batteries in the clocks that require N size and I'am not sure about multi use with E90.
