Hard to tell really and hard to believe that when you stick it in your ear, nose or other man place that the hair neatly goes into the slots in order to be chopped....... Have a feeling it gets some but not all....

Nice idea but shame it was let down by arriving in a very dented and scratched tin that was worn with dirt all around the tin lid !!! Then you open it up and see a scratched nose trimmer !!! Avoid !!!

very nicely made as a novelty, however any hairs cant actual get into the cutting parts.

whilst not as good as an electric trimmer, it is very good as a quick 'I've got an annoying nostril hair that needs dealing with NOW' device.It's silent and easy to use, and does do the job, you just have to be slightly more direct as to where you point it, as it doesn't have a rotating head, but rather an oscillating one when you compress the grips.Cleaning is easy enough with the brush included,Most importantly of all, is the box it comes in. It's GOLD. Not Cash-for-Gold gold, but gold the colour. That's a point in my books.

The trimmer itself is a really well designed little tool. It is well constructed and used in front of a mirror it will tidy up the worst of those stray hairs (it won't polish the whole lot off like many electric devices might). It's a lovely little too though, a real gentleman's gadget. The little cleaning brush a good addition but the item is let down by the cheap plastic case which is coated with a brass tin plate and covered in scratches and marks. The trimmer deserves better. Nice item generally though.A discretionary discount was given in return for an honest appraisal of the product.
