Not all older laptops support external travel hubs. If this had an ethernet port it would work as a full docking station. It's a great deal for $10 for a used like new item.

this is a great price for an Anker ubb-c hub. I keep one in my travel bag so I can connect my phone or tablet with usb-c to an hdmi port on the tv in my hotel room without connecting to a public wifi.

I didn't play code enough attention. I searched for HDMI hub, this came up. The photo looked like HDMI. My fault for not reading the details.

Many Dell computers have DRM that prevents third party chargers from providing sufficient charge to operate normally without battery drain. This did not work with my Dell XPS 15. While this is really Dell's fault, Anker should not be advertising in a eay that implies it is likely to work with your Dell. If you choose to buy make SURE to test thoroughly and return within the return window if you experience any issues at all. Unfortunately for me I am stuck with it because it took me too long to confirm the issue. I do own several other Anker products (cables, chargers, etc) and am happy with most of them.

I like the quality and feel of the is unit. The ports are well defined and clean. They look and feel sturdy and will last a while. My only gripe is the PD usb type c port cannot charge a MacBook Air m1 since the power received is too low.
